smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

Morning...sorry a'noon...hair done. It took an hour and half-ish but I dry it myself and then there's the cleaning up to do but I still prefer having it done at home.

I don't feel quite as bad as I did but I keep going so damned dizzy so I won't be venturing out today. I've decided to go back to the doc but there are no pre appointments til mid June(!) because he's away for two weeks after next. That means I'll have to have my finger on speed dial every morning next week to get in at any available time....assuming I get past the rottweiler on the other end...tut.

Really enjoyed Lewis.
there's nothing but lights on this circuit, so no way to overload it. It's probably a screw loose in a switch somewhere, but if I can figure out which one it will save Imran having to dismantle the whole house looking for it. I'm pretty sure it's the one above the telly so am forcing myself to watch programmes and light simultaneously. But the telly's rubbish and the light won't go out
ah yes I remember now jno, a similar thing happend to me twice and it was the switches which were used most often ie the kitchen and the stairs light, downstairs switch. Hope you get it sorted...in the meantime these might help...

♫♫ this little light of mine... I'm gonna let it shine... ♫♫

Question Author
I take it that you are still shining?
yup, I have switched lights every couple of hours but not one of the little blighters will go out now.
jno has a screw loose...................

I am none too pleased hair is a success but hairdresser has managed to bleach all down the back of the top I was wearing!! Went back into see her and the next few haircuts will be free.

Robi, It only took three hours because I had foils and my hair takes ages to lighten and then I had a semi permanent thingy on top of the blonde which tones it down and brightens it (?) and then a hair cut. I am now up to date on all the latest celebrity gosspit from OK, Now and Hello Magazines!!

I have been gardening for the last hour or so!! It got warmer after getting colder..............

Today I have vacuumed the 3 piece and changed all the covers, caught up with the laundry and had a good old tidy round. Normality almost reigns.

Lottie I used to have highlights but can't sit still for that long. Jno are you still alight?

Evening all
We've been unlocked thank goodness .I had the damned scam on my settings this morning .I'd like to give these merchant bankers who do this a piece of my mind .Anyway Picky rode to the rescue because we had no idea what to do and we've now got a state of the art firewall. So fingers crossed .
Not bad here today weatherwise but still chilly.
Hope you are all Ok and any poorlies feel better and that you have fixed the lights Jno .
OIght Oight lovelies ..sleep toight .
tried just switching on a couple of different lights... they went phut at half-hour intervals, so they may be at fault too... only now they've been going fine for an hour and a half.

Yours sincerely, Confused

good morning confused et al.Its grey here again. We went out this morning, came home and all collapsed back to bed, then i had to eject a wasp because my brave dogs were terrified, even though it was in another room with the door shut (loud buzz)
I think doing too much housework is bad for me.
Morning, poor confused, what a life, sitting looking at lights all night!

Hope all ailing bids are recovering, by 'eck it's chilly here, not that I am complaining! Off to find a new dress for luncheon party tomorrow, don't think I'll find one, but will have to smarten up, as they are very conventional, and sissies clothes just do not suit me!
Morning all...this the home for the bewildered and buffered is it?

woofy I've come to realise that having a mad domestic session is pointless because I end up useless for a couple of days...it's back to pacing myself.
I'll get going later... much later

don't worry, Robinia, it'll get done somehow

humph, tried the lights again this morning and they went phut phut phut phut four times in a row... and since then nothing for two hours. Maybe I should replace them all just for being unhelpful, that'd teach them.
hmmm, a husband? I'm not sure I want one of those even if he does do the dishes... but never say never. My hairdresser told me yesterday that after a long time of being on her own she's got herself a gem, I couldn't be more pleased for her, she's lovely. She's been ill recently and he's been great, it's always a good test, when the going gets tough and all that.

A bit of mushroom magic might light up your life jno

For "too much" Robi, read "any at all" I had been struggling through a bit of a cba patch before the mud deluge, then couldn't do any because of keeping an eye on Rab.
sighs...I think I've got a new syndrome...burning mouth syndrome. And no, I haven't gone back to my fire eating striptease act. Nothing visible, just the sensation of burning at varying degrees during the day...Makes a change from my ears I suppose...tut.
oh no, someone's lost contact, call out the St Bernards
