smelly carpet shampooer

I have a bissell carpet shampooer which is absolutely the bees knees. It is easy to use and really gets my filthy dog-defiled carpets clean again. The only trouble is that while I do clean it after use and let it dry in the air before putting it away, it is beginning to smell, I guess because some dirty water is always left inside it somewhere. has anyone else had this problem and found a solution to it please?
TIA

Morning all, going to have a quietish day here. Must collect phone hopefully unlocked but doubt it! Lovely sunny day but there is a chill in the air.

Утро Лотти и г-н Л., есть супер-праздник и дать своей любви к России.

^^^ for lottie!

Hope you all have a good day. Back later hopefully. Had a lovely steak last night, love this country!!
oh ps there was a spider crawling by the bed last night, sister was on the loo so I swcreamed and swcreamed until she came running to escort the little (and it had a fat body but small legs) thing out of the window. I felt almost brave enough to smash it on the wall but she has lovely decorated wallpaper and it would have left a big black splodge mark! so I desisted!
peeps round door to make sure no one's waiting to wallop me for the coronation comment :o)

Morning all...dull and chilly here, not looking good for the weekend is it?
I watched a documentary on BBC4 about the coronation last night...nearly 3 hrs just for the service itself...jeez, I'd have abdicated before it started. I really admire all the discipline, I wouldn't want to be a part of it.

shaney, I agree with the others, don't feel bad about not going to the funeral, that would be a heck of a journey and imagine if it was a very hot day or the trains were delayed. Have some quiet time somewhere to think of her and send a donation. I'll leave instructions for my send off...people aren't to feel bad about not being there, please go and plant a tree or eat sherry trifle instead.
Yes, Dennis and Rita are tying the knot! But will they??! Philip Lowrie was on the tele this morning, he's so lovely and looks amazing for his age. I've no idea if he's got a real life partner....but if he wants one?... :o)

Neti, be kind to spiders or I'll clobber you with your jubilee handbag!
Morning all
Thanks for the advice .Last time when I went for Jeannies funeral we went by car so it was alright but all that way by public transport is a bit daunting on my own these days. It's ok getting to London but then I have would have to get out again to the end of the Northern Line and then a bus journey. Not for the faint hearted .These sort of things never used to faze me .Must be getting doddery!
I've bought a nice card ,will enclose money and a letter and leave it up to her daughter as to what she wants to do .
Brightened up here now a bit after a drizzly start ..hope it keeps that way as we have hospital appt this afternoon for Mr S for his cancer check up .
Take care lovely folks ...see you later .
Hope the appt goes well shaney.

Hi Everybiddy I think this will probably be my last post for a week as I'm busy this weekend and going to York and then down South until next Sunday.
So...
Firstly Shaney I think you have done the right thing. A funeral is a purely personal thing and each person has the right to deal with it in their own way. I appreciate you would like to be there but understand your reason for not being able to. You have my respect.
I'm afraid I'm not totally into the Jubilee but I'm happy that I've lived in the reign of the present queen as she appears to have been a hard working woman for the country even though she has been very well looked after. I do remember having street parties which the children have enjoyed and also when I was a child I did too.
I remember the black and white telly my Dad got for the coronation and we all went out to play and kept nipping back to see a bit of it now and again as we got bored with it. The day after I had to go into hospital to have my tonsils and adenoids sorted! So that was one party I did miss.
Had a bit of a busy day. I had to dash about and buy a new Microwave as mine conked on me.
I put the old one on the front ready for when any junk collector came round especially the one with the Trumpet/ bazooka thing ( you know what I mean Robi) and within 10 minutes of putting it there a man came to my door in a car, swarthy and covered in tattoos, not the car - him, and asked me if it was junk and took it away. I said I hope you get a few bob for it and off he went.
Anyway - I hope all my Biddyfriends everywhere have a lovely Bank Holiday with friends and family, aches and pains stay at a minimum and that your BiL has his foot dealt with very soon Neti. Also I hope Lottie has a really fabulous time.

See yer much later 'gater(s) thanks again for being there. Jude xx
jno I prefer George Melly to the tea towel thank you.

Hello all, busy night then busy day. Rab played monsters in the garden, then had an upset tum so up and down all night. Sis and I went to the local garden centre and had rather fabulous cakes and bought loads of plants for my garden tubs then we came home and pottered and gardened and shopped online. We had steak for dinner and watched the prince Charles program with all the home movies in, very sweet. Rab is now fine, pigged his share of the steak and is asleep. Oight oight all, have a good time Jude, jno, I will take the tea towel. Shaney, i hope today went well, Lottie do not fall over on your hols. Robi and Neti have a great weekend and big hi to Vinny, Dolly and anyone else who pops in. Oight oight
Just cruising past .All's well .Mr S has the all clear for another six months. No scan this time just a general check and blood test.

Hope you've all had a good day and have a nice time Jude .
Oight Oight everybody .Sleep toight .

so pleased to hear that Mr S is okay Shaney. We had a quiet night here and a lovely run around this morning. The dogs put up a herd of deer which was quite spectacular but bless them the came straight back off the chase when i whistled. We have just shared a home baked brown roll and butter and some cherries, the dogs had their breakfast as well of course. Time for a doze i think.....
good morning.

Well done Mr s, good news.
Morning all...it's a grey day :o(
Have a good time Jude. haha, yes the junk collectors, I don't think they're too popular with their trumpets but people do like having things taken out of the way.

Well done Mr S!
Hope the rest of you are as well as you can be.
This puta's making a lot of whirring noise this morning, I hope it's normal...Tarquin said I might hear it sometimes but I can't remember what the reason was.
oh that'll just be bats caught in the fan, Robinia, teh whirring is either them trying to get out or the fan slowly chopping them up.

No big deal
On laptop now, my sister's sky HD box makes a whirring noise all the time, worries me, she isn't bothered!

Off to Primark to get hija a maxi dress for £10 cos she'll wear it once or twice and bin it, so cheapo will do.

No sun, no rain, nothing weatherwise in fact, a slight breeze and that's it.

Have a good time jude.
we have guests at the moment, a sailor and his wife, who turned up here unaware there was a jubilee on. But we had dinner last night in a restaurant overlooking Tower Bridge, with the bridge going up and down and tall ships and Thames barges hanging around waiting for the flotilla to go tomorrow. Unfortunately it looks like 48 hours of solid reign, er rain.

I told him it didn't look like a great day and he said "Every day's a great day if you're above ground"... I suppose sailors have lots of time to be philosophical.
oh and on Sunday we're going to Battersea park (in the rain no doubt) to watch the flotilla. The tickets cost £5 each... we've just found we could sell them on eBay for £800... ooh, tempting
Hello all
Lovely day here .Bright and sunny Yes, Jno it looks as if it's going to be a bit iffy weatherwise for the Jubilee .We've got a few old sailors in the flotilla .Look out for the Caister lifeboat and crew .
Hope you're all Ok today .My computer whirrs and chugs Robinia .If it doesn't I panic :)
See you later folks .
