Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

It's stopped now Woofy ..It won't lay ,too damp at the moment .
These things are difficult to know what to do Woofy .
In Germany it's customary to send out a notice when someone passes away.Like the Victorians used to do .All printed out and you just address them and send them off .That way you don't have get into explanations or details of this and that and people can reply with condolences .
Actually Shaney that sounds like a good idea. My Fil put a notice in the local paper when we lost Mil but that's not helpful when people live all over the UK...its the explanations and details bit that is difficult.....
Anyway total change of subject
Do I need a suitcase? I don't travel in any planned way and have no plans to do so. I have got a bag that would just do for an overnight but probably no longer. Our suitcases date from our seagoing days and are good quality but much too big and heavy for me to manage with a dodgy knee. My plan is to get rid of them but wonder if I should buy just one medium sized lightweight one so that if I did have to go anywhere at short notice, I could.
Half of me says I am being silly and what would I need a suitcase for but i am a bit belt and braces. For sure the ones I have would be no use.
I do so want some snow......but not on wednesday which is when Sis arrives
What you do in Germany is go to a printers , and they print out what you want They call it a todesanzeige.I have a shoebox full of 'em:(

Always handy to have a suitcase ( I don't go far these days either )..what about one of those neat wheelie ones ,then you haven't got to carry anything heavy .
We got rid of all our huge suitcases which we carted all round everywhere .

Buy one ..you never know ..you may feel like a break away at some time in the future . Be prepared ...Dib Dib :)
woofy, I've got a wheelie bag that I occasionally take to exhibitions and things when I suspect I'm going to pick up a lot of brochures and stuff. Mostly of course I use it for travel. It's small enough to carry on to a plane. You can always use it for storage and keep it under the bed, then just get it out, empty and use it if suddenly called on to visit Stoke-on-Trent for the weekend.
Goodnight all. I'm so tired I just have to go to bed....x
Night all, sleep well.
Oight Oight folks ..sleep tight xx
Broken night tonight, first i couldn't sleep then Rab was sick. I don't think its anything serious but poor boy doesn't look happy at all. The vet is only 5 mins away so i will see how it goes and call them later if he doesn't pick up.

Good morning biddies,

Yes woofy get a suitcase, cos you never know. I get a new one every year, the shed is full of them and they are full of old clothes, bedding you name it, it's there, so next year instead of unpacking one, I'll get a new one - daft!

Yes defo get letters printed when you are ready, no need to handwrite them all. When mum died over here it wasn't even in the paper but word of mouth, and 100's turned up for the funeral. I was in a daze and it was mid summer (boiling hot) and people kept phoning, and I know they meant well, but I didn't need it. My hija was 3yrs old and kept asking for her granny, so difficult. The English newspaper wrote a whole page in tribute to her.

Snow eh shaney, lucky thing, a white christmas, I'd love to be there with the shops and lights et al, really festive. It's rather bright sunshine here but at least I hope it is chilly.
Was up and down for most of last night, ended up sleeping on the settee with Rab, with Shughy in an armchair once I was sure Rab was settling. Today he has just eaten a tiny breakfast of chopped chicken and warm water and gone back to sleep.Piggy Shughy had the same.
Thanks for the advice, I have bought a soft suitcase on wheels. did a mental count up and that means I can throw away 4 giant hard sided ones and a further 4 huge soft sided ones, so a great saving of space.
Thanks for the support yesterday...
I was going to shower and dress but as the dogs have gone back to sleep, i think I will catch up as well. Only planned activities today are to shampoo the rug (again) and bake some christmas cookies so plenty of time.
Morning all...no snow but my sis has had some in Leicestershire. Just black ice here but bright and sunny now, I nearly went all my length when I went to feed the birds..... which makes me think I really should buy a holdall in case I have to dash off for an NHS bargain break. I've got one small case and I used to keep a plastic carrier full of emergency items in it, towels/soap bag/slippers/nightie but I've taken them out and used them. Most luggage nowadays seems to have wheels...so why do so many people frown on a shopping trolley? tut.

Get some rest woofy...hope Rab's back to his old self soon.

Some people use their hand luggage suitcases to put their shopping in, had to laugh, but hey why not
Goo Morning all. I feel better now after a good night's sleep. I'm sorry your's wasn't the same Woofy hope Rab is better soon.
I cant believe all those suitcases you all have. I have just the one big one I've had for about 15 years and another smaller one on wheels which is a God-send for a few days away.
When I went to the Paper shop this morning about 7 it was lovely - frosty and fresh. It's thawing now though.
I'm now getting all excited about tomorrow. I'm lunching with Steady and Steadier at a lovely country pub, all being well. That wil be my Christmas Day as they will both not be around on The Day. I just hope they will agree to having a photo taken with me. Altogether, as I don't have one. That's all I want for Christmas..
Going for a walk before my lunch...Have a good day Biddyfriends later

Oh jude how lovely, surely they will all have a piccy taken.

Just had a shock, am sitting here in bed, in pj's hair everywhere and glasses, and was searching for advice on my Galaxy on Google and a webcam popped up with a young chappie sitting there and a notice saying speak to me now with the problem. So I stared at him and waved and bgr me he waved back and indicated me to talk to him, I didn't think it was a live camera, so he could see me too, I clicked out pretty quickly as prefer to read the solutions and not talk, embarrassing.
Hello all, Rab is much better and I have just had coffee and biscuits, next is a shower....Neti are you sure the webcam man could see you? might it have been a good trick like the subservient chicken? So far as I know, you have to turn your webcam on yourself, it can't be done remotely.
Can't the rest of you see neti...I can?
I always thought it was her clothes that were paisley...

That'll be lovely Jude, have a great time.
I had a card from Ozzy yesterday with photos of the little 'uns printed on it ....♫ moonpig dot com ♫ :o)....they're all suntanned & in summery clothes standing in front of the xmas tree.....<sniff>
It is going to take me ages to do a catch up, but I promise I will.

Have been dashing about, but am healthy and OK.

Will call in again later.

Bless you all

xxxxxxx
excited msg from friend - she went to the Strickly final and got invited to the after-show party, so she is on cloud 9... actually she is on the train from Blackpool, but same thing really. Sounds like a lovely time was had by all except me, as I was watching an avant-garde silent Soviet film at the time and not understanding a word of it.
