Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

I honestly haven't forgotten you. Just been a bit busy and have been out a lot!! A couple of meals out in the evening and Chrissy shopping with Mr LL in Norwich (with another meal out).

Am taking my neighbour (the newly widowed gentleman) out for lunch at 12.00 today and then going to the osteo for 2.00pm, and then am out tomorrow for lunch with another friend. All this socialising is wearing me out. Will log in tomorrow and do a proper catch up.

xxxx

Back again, turned really fold in town so I came home and it's all sunny on patio and lovely and warm.

Bil had leg off mid-thigh on Friday but sis is too stunned to do anything. He was on morphine but now on normal painkillers. They want him to practice getting from bed to chair, poor soul, he has no strength whatsoever. She feels bad but thinks he would be better in Hospital for xmas as all the grandkids are coming down and it's too late to cancel. He not very tolerant of the kiddies normally, kind and all that but prefers to be away from the shrieking, (and believe me, they can shriek!)

Sis in thinking of extending the house for a bedroom and a wet room for him downstairs, she has no idea how they will cope. Of course the triple heart bypass is still needed but heavens knows when.

The sky saturday night, it was eerie.
lovely sky Neti and that's excellent news about the painkillers. I worked a lot with folk who had high amputations due to loss of circulation and by and large it helped a lot in their general health and well being as it relieves the rest of the body, especially the heart, of a huge burden. I really know "that's easy for me to say" though. The ground floor bathroom and wet room sound like an excellent idea, not sure of the financial circs but there might be a council grant available, although this can slow things down a bit. It might also be helpful for her to talk to the hospital occupational therapists as they can talk practically to her about how they will cope and stuff as they will have seen it before and it might reassure your sis. Going against "received wisdom" here but unless its going to really distress him, then I agree with her about being in hospital over christmas, he will be able to sleep when he wants and so on and will take the burden off her which is important.
The suitcases that I was agonising over free cycling have gone to a nice man whose wife is disabled. They are moving in january and the cases will be just what they need to get clothes packed and ready. They are the ones DH and I used to travel abroad with when he was on the ships which i guess is why it was a bit difficult but you know what, today I feel much better about it. The new lightweight i have ordered is purple, very cheery....back to work now.
eek! who pulled me plug out?! I've turned into a ghost...a male one!!!

No you haven't silly Robi!!

Thanks woofy that is so reassuring and I will pass it on to sis. I don't think they have money problems, so I guess that will be OK. I also agree that he should stay in hospital, he is a private person and although will get visits from his children, would rather be in the quiet, and honestly the spoilt granddaughter (my sis's fault) is a little cow and wouldn't put it past her to keep lifting the blanket and looking at his leg secretly, and not in a nice.
ooh, the ghost of Christmas past!

Hello Lottie... >I'm over here waving <

Very best wishes to your b-i-l neti. I hope he regains some strength and has a peaceful xmas. As much as I love my grandkids I can't bear to hear shouting and shrieking.
