Anyone know if this reality show will be back on Ch 5? I know I'm sad, but cannot get BBC or ITV so have to rely on Ch 5, and I do get so engrossed and enraged, really get carried away with it all.

Evening everyone, had a lovely day, shopping in the 4 big supermarkets that we have here, collected the turkey, went out for mojitos and martinis, came home and dozed in front of fire, and then hija did tapas for dinner, little plates of prawns and garlic, chicken or prawn vol au vents, pimientos de padron, (little green hot peppers) croquettas, and a russian salad type thing, then a chocolate sponge which I refused a) am stuffed and b) not too fond!

Relaxing again now.

Hope all OK with the shaneys, and hope Robi's head improves, poor thing.

The rest of you enjoy your evening.

oight oight x

And for Vinny wherever he is, Merry Christmas.

Brilliant News Shaney So happy for Mr S and You.
Went to my nephews this morning and they asked me to go Christmas Day not knowing that I would be on my own. What a lovely surprise.

Goodnight All Sleep Tight. See You All Tomorrow.
Good morning all, superb news Shaney and what a lovely surprise Jude. I have just been in tescos. They were open all night so stopped in on the way back with doggies. They had fresh scallops so I took out a mortgage and bought some for dinner. Back to bed now, have a wonderful day all, special thoughts fr Vinny, Dolly and our absent friends and hope that Robi is feeling better.
we had a dinner partyette last night (I suspect the generous intake of wine is why I am up unusually early). All very jolly. Our German friend assures us Kate Middleton has had some sort of facial surgery - she doesn't think, she *knows* - but won't say how she knows. Her home village is quite close to the Duke of Edinburgh's and she knows his family, so that might be her source. Anyway, everyone (except me) was avidly watching the news last night to see how Philip was getting on.

Our Swiss friend was telling us about internet dating in Geneva - apparently it is awful, all anyone wants is her body, but that's how it is with bankers. She is extremely bright and funny, so they are missing something. She was staying the night with us and left an hour ago to go to Cuba for Christmas... sigh...

Plus our magistrate guest was enthralling us with her tales of the Strickly final - apparently she actually got to dance with Harry for a few moments afterwards; she'd just gone for a look at how the Blackpool dancefloor was sprung when he appeared, grabbed her and whizzed her off in a foxtrot. She can't dance herself (she is even more traditionally built than I am) but just allowed herself to be led, as is only proper.

I didn't have any intriguing anecdotes to add to the conversation, but I poured the champagne, which I am sure helped.

I have done all my shopping (unless I suddenly remember something) and wrapped all my pressies so don't have anything significant to do today. We will be driving all the way to faraway Kent to have Christmas lunch or dinner with the family of jno jnr's girlfriend, so that will be nice though not up to the roast jno jnr himself cooked us last year, which was divine.

I expect I will be back here all day but just in case, merry Christmas to all, including Dolly and Vinny if they are looking in.
Good morning,

Lovely news Shaney - a wonderful Christmas present!!

Hope you are feeling better Robi.

Jude, pleased about your Christmas invite - great.

Neti, hope your mouth pain has eased.

Woofy, I love fresh scallops - the best I ever ate were boiled straight from the sea on a camping stove on a small boat and eaten straight away - unbelievable.

jno, Glad you had a good dinner party. I really enjoy your gossip - better than phone hacking!!

To Vinny and Dolly - Happy Christmas.

I have a horrid feeling I have forgotten someone, but it might be that I have forgotten myself!!!

In case I don't come back today.

Happy Christmas to all you lovely friends!!

(I love the Google page with the lights and music this morning)

Bless you All

Morning all, hectic day already, mr N gave hija he laptop last night, and of course it wouldn't connect to internet, so I had to take modem and lappy to shop v early today to get them to find the password, well off course it is none of the ones he had already given me! All done and dusted now with a password I can remember BUT the wally has left my network open for all and sundry. Is there any simple way that I can "lock" it, cos I have a password but do not need it! Now cleaning bathroom and kitchen. Tooth little bit achy not not too bad.

Good old Mr S.

Oh guess what, I had such a shock last night when I was reading my emails. You all know the reason I came to live in Ibiza, don't you, well there was an email from him saying that after 40yrs he still loved me! Now I am not frightened of him anymore, but do not want him in my life at all, so do I spell it out to him or just ignore the emails which I do not want Mr N may see and get upset about, or I may just have to use another email completely. No idea how he found my email addy. Listen I am not at worried about him, just shocked that's all.
Oh Neti what a shock! It's a nuisance but if it was me I would probably first delete the mails and empty my deleted mail box. If he mails again, then maybe change your address.
Tbh I thought Kate's face looked a bit "tight" poor girl though it's a shame to be so scrutinised. poor old Phil I hope he's okay, the queen must be worried sick. We are going out for coffee, laters all
just ignore unwanted emails, I think. (Can you mark them as spam and have your system delete them automatically?) Don't know about unlocked networks and things, though.
I am back.

Delete the mails Neti. And then put a block on his email address, so they will be returned to him as unable to deliver and then totallly forget the whole episode.
tut, the cheek of some people

My Troll arrived with a broken ear - only slightly. They are sending me another foc (picking his nose) and sending me some paint to touch the one I have received up!! What service.

Here he is in his Christmas outfit - which covers up his poorly left ear

Neti I agree with Lottie and the rest that would be the best thing to do. Just ignore it.

What a lovely song by Cold Play Lottie. I've seen them interviewed and they are lovely lads.

I'm going to think about you all at Mid-day tomorrow (our time Neti) and think what lovely friends you are, also remembering the Friends & DH not with us.

I hope you all enjoy yourselves tomorrow, Lottie X, Shaney X, Neti X,
Jno X, Woofy X, Robi X, Vinny X , Dolly X Happy Christmas!
Hi folks
Yes, just ignore and delete Neti .You don't need aggro.

Bright day here .Queued at the butcher at the unearthly hour of 7.30am but got in quick as it was ordered.Have spuds on for our traditional German evening meal of potatao salad and strammer jungs .Child and gf for lunch tomorrow .

Thank you for always being here and listening xxxxxxxx
Good day...how's everyone doing? It's been a lovely sunny day up to now, I think the whole world's walking their dogs here woofy. Hope your two are being good lads :o)

Shaney what lovely news, it's given me goosebumps.
And lovely for you too Jude to have your dinner with relatives.
All things being equal, as a friend used to say, I'll be having dinner at my sisters. Hope I've got some appetite, the headache's gone but I feel wiped out & dizzy. Hey ho, that's just about everyone's state at this time of year.

Oh men neti, they get all maudlin and full of b'sh1te at this time of year... as the others have said just block the mails.

Oh I say jno, surgery? Really? Is she aiming for a rigid face to hold up her crown?
Yes, it looks like the Duke's going to have a hospital dinner tomorrow...wonder if Santa visits? It's odd really because only a week or so ago I asked my sis what would happen if a senior royal died on Christmas day. I know they're always prepped and ready for such an event but would tv and radio stop their schedules?

I may be around a while yet but for now however you spend it lovely friends have a happy, peaceful time this Christmas. xxxxx
I was asking that very question of a BBC friend and I was told Philip is not a Tier 1 royal in their eyes, so would get black ties and so forth but not the full clear-the-schedules, end-of-an-era coverage that the queen would.

I hope that doesn't get George Alagiah thrown in the tower.

As far as public mourning I think it's up to the queen to decide if he gets lying in state and declared a saint.

Ooh, getting dark, must switch on the lights
