Zacs....kindly explain how i have used the term IMMIGRANT incorrectly. My definition is of someone who comes to live in a foreign country (to them) permanently.
Corby....yes, I agree, they may say it is ignorant, but you quote, four or five generations. I am not sure to what a generation refers but let me guess and say 25 years, so we are talking about blacks who have been in the UK for 100 or 125 years. In my experience, that would only account for a handful of blacks......I didn't see a black in Peterborough until the early 60's, but in London they were already established, so we may be talking about three generations at most.........but still, by my definition ..immigrants....not disparaging, not insulting, just what they and i am.....an IMMIGRANT and that is how i described NH.

All those Johnny foreigners out enjoying themselves when they should be doing things like sweeping the streets, collecting rubbish, cleaning sewers and caring for grumpy pale-faced natives who think they deserve an inordinate amount of respect by virtue of being born here with a lineage which goes back to the dark ages.

It was reported on the radio that during the period of silence in respect for the victims of the tower block fire, the beating of drums and the playing of music could still be heard.
There were also some taking selfies in front of Grenfell Tower, how macabre is that?
