> the government has abandoned what I see as a human moral duty in favour of capitulation to the will of madmen.

So in this case, have they exposed their own lie by arresting the person they have, given the description they gave out earlier?
That's not my reading of it Ludwig.

Being tanned or having a tan is a temporary state and something 'usually' that refers to white people.
Having a 'tanned complexion' is a permanent and refers to someone not 'usually' white...
//For the last decade or so there has been an almost World wide programme in effect whereby it is discouraged to criticise a nation or culture based on their skin colour or demographic origins. //

Would you like to start criticising people based on skin colour more often, then?
//Would you like to start criticising people based on skin colour more often, then?//

No, I wouldn't. What I would[i like to understand, however, is the relationship between culture and [i]behaviour].
Stop.
Using.
Italics.

As for your point, I'm not sure what you feel is stopping you.
//Would you like to start criticising people based on skin colour more often, then? //

No but I would like to see a little truth more often. Without the practitioners of "Newspeak" vetting every pronouncement.
As "Eskimo Nell" said to the kids.....Don't eat the yellow snow.
Spath, //" So many Muslim terrorists"

you mean.. terrorists.//

I meant what I said. “so many Muslim terrorists”.

Ellipsis, //So in this case, have they exposed their own lie by arresting the person they have, given the description they gave out earlier?//

Hmmm…. Lie? I’d call it bending the truth. There’s a lot of it about.
Have they exposed it?
Togo; I didn't know it was Eskimo Nell. I always thought it was Frank Zappa.
Naomi - // For reasons I've explained more than once, the establishment clearly feels that the promotion and maintenance of social cohesion is paramount which is why appalling crimes have been ignored – and they have – we know that - and why the government has abandoned what I see as a human moral duty in favour of capitulation to the will of madmen. No conspiracy theory there. //

Your post is offered in terms that infer it is a solid truth, but the reality is, it is your opinion based on your assumptions, and that caveat should be included.
I still feel I am no further forward - what I see here is a situation where the police would appear to have offered a description of a possible rapist based on the information offered to them by the victim.

From that, an entire conspiracy theory has ballooned out of control, with a number of people apparently willing to believe that the police's description is in line with a national fear of upsetting cultural minorities, even at the expense of catching a dangerous criminal.

Where on earth has this approach come from? I understand Talbot raising the OP, his willingness to court controversy is matched only by his enjoyment of strong debate, but I am surprised as the strength and volume of agreement his post has raised.

The possible rapist has been charged.

Why take so long with getting the CCTV picture out in the public domain, andy?

I bet it was a call from the public that nailed him and from what I have heard about the area that call was probably from a Muslim (note that is the first time I have mention Muslim)
That doesn't make any sense to me

The whole post or a certain part of the post?

I will try and talk you through it if return with something more specific, FF.
Talbot - // Why take so long with getting the CCTV picture out in the public domain, andy? //

What on earth makes you think I have access to that information Talbot?

You, and I, and everyone else, has access to the same information which is through the media.

The difference is, I am not jumping to baffling conclusions about the police approach to this case.

Bet away - it's free, so fill your boots.

With regard to your first mention of the word 'Muslim' - hurrah, or congratulations, or well done, or whatever else you think you deserve for it.

ah, sarcasm from you is fine...from anyone else not of your thinking it is thread cluttering.Par for the course.

I didn't expect you to answer the question btw.

The reluctance of some police forces to prosecute some serious sex crimes committed by some groups for whatever reason - let's leave the phrase "social cohesion" aside for the moment - was proved conclusively by the Jay report (2014?) on the Rotherham scandal and futher confirmed by the evidence given by senior South Yorkshire Police personnel before the parliamentary committee investigating the scandal.

This "reluctance" is not limited to the South Yorkshire Police force as those of you who watched the docudrama "Three Girls" will know.

On what grounds exactly, I wonder, are certain posters denying this fact?
Andy-hughes, //Your post is offered in terms that infer it is a solid truth, but the reality is, it is your opinion based on your assumptions, and that caveat should be included.//

Well, not really. My post is offered in terms of observation… nothing that anyone who’s actually been looking has any excuse for missing – unless they spotted something they’d rather not acknowledge.
