The voters in America will once again have to make a choice. It will not be influenced by the narcissist rage of a few wannabe opinion brokers on an obscure website in a foreign Country. They will have to choose between a candidate with a brash and and guileless personality who has America's best interests, and therefor theirs, at heart and as the core of his...

// it is undeniable that big tech companies tried to sway the outcome: most outrageously in the suppression of the scandalous Hunter Biden laptop story.' //

The story wasn’t suppressed. The New York Post published the story. In was/is in the public domain.
Which tech companies are you accusing ?
Question Author
'The discovery of the laptop came just weeks before the 2020 presidential election. But the reaction from most of the media—including the Times—was to ignore it.

Even worse, the Big Tech companies that control the information superhighway and social media platforms sought to prevent the dissemination of any information about the laptop and what Hunter Biden had been up to in Ukraine and China while his father was vice president. The Post's Twitter account was, for a time, shut down. Those who attempted to retweet the story were prevented from doing so. Anyone who raised the issue or complained about the refusal to cover the story were accused of spreading "disinformation."

Many of the same media outlets had spent years spreading accounts about Donald Trump colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election, which turned out to be false. But journalists and Silicon Valley oligarchs were united in their determination to prevent Trump from winning again and openly boasted of their willingness to put their finger on the electoral scale to defeat him.'
Khandro, does it not bother you that the man tried to overturn the legitimate results of a democratic election and effectively install himself as a Putin type dictator?

Or, do you believe the election was somehow stolen by the Democrats through fraud?

Or, are you OK with legitimate democratic election results being overturned as long as the beneficiary is wearing the right colour rosette, and/or is someone you personally admire?

I'm genuinely trying to understand your thought process.
Lol, but still won’t answer my simple question?

Certifiable.

Tomus(to Khandro)
//I'm genuinely trying to understand your thought process.//

Good luck with that because there isn’t one.

//do you believe the election was somehow stolen by the Democrats through fraud?//

Absolutely not, where have I said that?

Fatti, What is this question ?
Fatticus' question was:
So you believe he was right to advocate the use of violence against his own Vice-President?
Question Author
Zacs-Master That is a stupid leading question, he didn't incite any violence at all. You have not answered to the reality of what happened so keep on and on with this same false accusation, quote:

'
However, Mr Trump's lawyers have argued his use of the word "fight" was figurative, which has long been accepted in public discourse.

'Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard'
This was the part of Mr Trump's speech that his defenders have seized on to show that he never incited the crowd.

He said: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard"

What could be clearer than that?

He hasn't announced if he will run for the nomination, but he probably will & if he does there is no one else who could beat him. Something you may just have to accept,

// the suppression of the scandalous Hunter Biden laptop story. //

In fact the result had the opposite effect. Twitter closing the NY Post account propelled the story to the top of the news agenda in the US.

// Joan Donovan, the research director of the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard University, said that "This is arguably the most well-known story the New York Post has ever published and it endures as a story because it was initially suppressed by social media companies and jeered by politicians and pundits alike". //
///Mr Trump's lawyers have argued his use of the word "fight" was figurative///

never mind the word "fight" what about the word "hang"?

Perhaps he said "Pence is well hung" and was misunderstood...
So Khandro, that's a no to the second part of my question. Thanks.

What about the other two parts?
Khandro, I've no idea why you addressed that to me; it was Fatticus's question.

Fight: 'He's fighting a general election' or,

3.
a. To contend with or struggle against: fought his boss over every penny; fought temptation.
b. To try to prevent the development or success of: fought the attempt to close the school.
c. To try to extinguish (an uncontrolled fire).
To make (one's way) by struggle or striving: fought my way to the top.
d.To engage in a quarrel; argue: They are always fighting about money.
e. To strive vigorously and resolutely, as in trying to overcome something; contend: fought against graft; fighting for her rights.
He used the word 'fight' 24 times in his (garbled) speech. The crowd were shouting back 'fight'. He was clearly manipulating them, otherwise what do you attribute their actions, in Trump's name, to?
khandro has already admitted that trump had control over them because he’s admitted trump was capable of calling them off…

why did trump wait for three hours before doing so, choosing to watch what was happening instead?

why did he encourage armed militias to attend?

why did he remove a sentence from his rose garden speech which said that the rioters did not represent him or his movement?

why have so many witnesses described him wanting to see Mike Pence hung by the mob?

khandro knows… if he actually thought trump was innocent he would have a response… but he doesn’t… he knows what trump did and either approves of it or does not care…

//Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard'
This was the part of Mr Trump's speech that his defenders have seized on to show that he never incited the crowd.

He said: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard"//

If that's what he said why the heck didn't his loyal followers take that on board? Guess they just didn't listen and decided to trash the Capitol Building because they thought that was a better idea.
Do you honestly believe the Trump did not incite violence Khandro?
'If that's what he said why the heck didn't his loyal followers take that on board?'

Exactly. Whatever reason they did it for they showed up Trump's core fans as violent hard-of-thinking eejits.

Redhelen: //Do you honestly believe the Trump did not incite violence Khandro?//

I don't know how many times I've been asked & answered that question, I know it is a long thread.

Of course I believe he didn't 'incite' or intend actual physical violence because Trump isn't a violent man.
