Why is this witch strutting her stuff in the UK again. Surely there are more serious "climate change offenders" she could target?

The men of AB are stooping lower and lower in their attempts at showing their superiority.

"little Miss",of course.

Are you serious ynnaf?  You really know nothing about this young woman or her family apart from what you read in the press. Your bile laden posts say a lot about your own mental health methinks. Last time I looked she was Miss not a Mrs.

Good luck to her. If she wasn't leading the protests some-one else would. Grant permission to one airport to increase the number of flights and other will follow with similar requests.

Ugliness and attractiveness is entirely subjective.

My subjective opinion is that she's ugly. People can disagree, but it doesn't make me wrong.

It does make you rude and inconsiderate

Oh...and it's probably better to be physically 'ugly'...rather than ugly in spirit and mind.

@15.04.I told you before maggie.Like you im Scottish,i dont stay calm,i dont do nice.Okay,hun.

"hun"?? what does that mean?

So the fact that you are Scottish is an excuse or reason for not 'doing nice'?

I'm sure others would disagree.

Maggiebee, 14.57.  Beauty is in the eye and all that.  I don't think she's at all beautiful.

Short for 'hunny', maggie, like in Winnie the Pooh.

"In other words, we're doomed,..."

Not at all. Governments need to use their taxpayers' resources to cope with climate change, not trying to combat it. There has been no apprreciable alteration to the rate of climate change despite the huge resorces that have been poured into efforts to influence it. Every successive episode of "COP nn" tells us so and comes up with yet another "resolution" to which the big polluters nod their heads in agreement and then toddle off home to carry on their business as usual. To keep on doing the same thing expecting different rsults is madness.

"Grant permission to one airport to increase the number of flights and other will follow with similar requests."

Probably. And hopefully their requests will be granted.

^^and hopefully they will be rejected. Why upset the atmosphere any more?

Are you sure you are Scottish, maggie? The term"hun" is just a Scottish abbreviation of the word"honey",basically a Scots term for  someone you meet in the street or someone you meet in AnswerBank, usually used affectionately.

Ynaff... just a little aside. I have lived in Scotland - in various parts of Scotland - for over 60 years. I have never been addressed as 'hun', the only usage I know is... teenagers, who occasionally use it (mainly in text speak).

"...Why upset the atmosphere any more?"

The answer to that question depends on whether you believe that emissions from aviation using UK airports "upset the atmosphere" sufficiently such that curtailing them will help control climate change. Since nothing done by the UK (or many other similar nations) seems to have had much influence so far, it seems doubtful.

She's ugly in spirit and mind as well...is my subjective opinion.

I thought it was Americans who were guilty of calling everyone hun..

We get blamed for everything.

Naomi...while it's ok to have an opinion about someone's looks, sometimes it's better to keep it to oneself. Comments about a young women's natural appearance isn't...in my mind...suitable in an article about climate change activism. But some seem to think it's alright...

@15.49.Perhaps its dying out then. What about the term"hen"?I think the term"hun"replaced the term"hen".
