Once again I find myself as host as her Ladyship and his Ludship are on a Transatlantic meander to see the Son and heir and his fiddler floozy! To think of all the years I cared for that boy and the promises he made to me, that when he was grown, he and I....... But now look cast aside just like his blue fluffy comfort blanket.
Enough of all that, as the stately pile has been so quiet and the weather quite poor, I have fair excelled myself and the buffet sideboard is groaning with tasty treats of all sorts to suit all palates. A wide array of drinks too as is the rule.
This weeks guest tailcock is the Champagnzeeee, a very refreshing number with a hint of grout and a biscuity undertone.
For the waffle I have:
Blue glass rolling pin (small crack)
4 Lavender tea-lights
2 solar lights that only work in the day
Book of Sudoku (half done)
So a big welcome to members old and new. The Butler will take your coats, indeed be wary, he may take anything.
I shall make next week a temperance night if you continually snub all my lovely offerings, mind you I may not be here much longer at this rate.
I shall drink the Chateau Neuf from the buffet table myself then and the potted lobster on rye toast is divine, don't get dusty in the vaults will you.
Talking about that giveup, I see the Pres Bam-Bam did a runner back to the Potomac Swamp when Lady A's 747 land at Boston Logan Intl Airport ....what's she got on him, surely not a dress........
itoring the staff situation never seems difficult for m'lady - she has a veritable arsenal of listening devices & cameras disguised as the most unlikely things...
Mamya, please do not distress yourself. No need to drink alone. I will be only too happy to help. Adore anything lobsterish. Perhaps we should reconnoitre in case any guests are unable to enter. Any news of Alex tonight? Or Tony?
