I'm probably being a really dumb biddy but I don't do much on-line shopping!
Next are offering free delivery but where do you put the code? As you 'add to bag' it makes out your order but I don't see a space for special codes and the total adds on the delivery charge.
Hope this makes sense, I'm losing the plot today. Thanks.

Meggie sends a big kiss back to Neti X

Spoiled Rotten!!
good heavens, I go away for a few days and it's turned into a dog's home. Very nice time in Paris, thank you, but we had to queue for nearly two hours to get into the big Monet exhibition on the first day and that rather boogered my feet for the rest of the stay, as I find it painful to stand for long periiods. But as the days are still short we didn't do as much walking and sightseeing as we normally would, so I believe I have survived. The hotel was nice and cheap but it did have LED lights in the spaces between the tiles in the shower, and flashing lights in the shower head too, so it was all very son et lumiere. Unfortunately the shower itself was so tiny I could hardly get in, but there you go.
Oh meggie, what a poser!!!
Feet are such a damn nuisance jno. I wish I could find a better way of getting around without resorting to wheels!!

Just found that photo I was talking about yesterday, at the punch and judy show. Plaits tied on top of head with two bows. I notice the child behind me has been subjected to the same style. Must have been fashionable. See what I mean about being a serious child!!

Sorry it will take a while to open.

Gonna make some bread and go to bed early. I is tired xxx
what a bunch of cute kids - of course they'd all be wearing Calvin Klein or Burberry these days and watching Celebrity Big Brother rather than Punch and Judy, but apart from that...

Funnily enough jno, my immediately reaction to that story is 'poor spiders'!! How weird.
NETI. Beware of jno's link

(She might just faint!!)
Morning all.

You look beautiful as a child, such innocence, lottie!

Saw jno's link but had already read the story, actually it more those horrible house spiders that frighten me! NO PICTURES NECESSARY THANK YOU!!!
Good morning Biddyfriends. Just had to let you see my little Shep - this photo was taken in the 1980s at Carsington Water in the frost. A lovely day like it is today.

Hope you are all ok and test results are good for your gentlemen. I'm having a 'watch the tennis' morning as Murray is playing and it's actually on the telly.

Good to see you back Jno. Did you take a few photos for us to have a look at?

See yer later 'gater(s) have a good day whatever you're going to do.
Kycklings, I have come to say a temporary goodbye:'( There aren't enough hours on the clock at the moment for me:'( As you already know, I stay away from the hellhole I used to call home as much as is humanly possible. When I eventually do get home, there are hours and hours of cleaning to be done. Apart from the daily muck that creeps in even though I close the window and ventilation (my windows aren't tight) I've also discovered that the building has turned itself inside out and what used to be the roof is now my ceiling and walls.

Or in other words: Some weeks ago there was the most foul stench going on for weeks, besides headaches and coughing all the time I was constantly on the verge of throwing up and when I cleaned my nose the insides were constantly bloody and black. I have since learned that they have been hosing the roof down, and hardly with water, as it was 15-20 degrees below at the time. And this was during "the plastic days". Anyway, seems to me that all of that gunk is now covering every inch of my room, my clothes, my books, my ringbinders and everything in them, my bedding, my walls, my ceiling, my china, my shoes, my... everything. If I take a paper cloth to the walls it gets black and I have to use a new one for the next wipe. I want to throw my entire home away but there's not much point in doing that till they've finished. This is the third time this happens to me, they were doing the facade in 2004 as well and then the renovations in 2006 with total replumbing and rewiring - plumbing which has now sprung a leak and caused all this. I hate the housing company so much, for always choosing the cheapest solutions. See what happens.

Where was I. Wanna throw everything away but had better wait. But I will have to spend every hour cleaning, the few hours I'm at home at all. I'm very close to break-down, my physical health was cr1p before this started and for every week that goes by it gets worse, as I'm not fi
as I'm not fit for leading the life I have to lead at this time. They have even started working weekends.

Will try to read your posts at the library, but if I manage to read them there won't be time to write... and vice versa. You may think my English is fluent but the fact is it often takes me several hours to put together a post of this calibre... so, dear, sweet possums, it looks very much like it will be spring before I'll be able to join you again. When I'm down-town (like today) I'll try to find extra computer time if I'm close to a library but don't count on it.

This isn't me trying to distance myself. I want nothing more than to be a part of our chat room. But I can't. *cries* Possums be good and be well. Same thing goes for possum husbands. I'm keeping everything crossed. Love yous.
oh, poor Kit - you can always put sellotape around the windows to seal them better, but if the whole place is belching soot there's not much you can do.
Morning all
Kit this is dreadful .Have you taken photographs of all this ? Especially inside .I'd be camping outside my Mp's surgery by now if I were you .
I feel for you .Nothing worse than having your home turned upside down and you can't do anything about it .It was bad enough when we got flooded but ths sounds horrendous .
Come and moan to us and when and look after yourself .

You're very brave to queue all that time Jno . Ten minutes in the PO is enough for me before my hips go into scream mode .I hope it was worth it .
Nice bright day here but cold .
I'm off to the library before they close it down :)
Hope Mr W is Ok and all of you are jogging along . See you later .
Kit you have email. Thinking about you.

Well Andy is through to the next round in 2 straight sets. Just hope he keeps his momentum up.
Here's one more photo of my little dog posing!! http://i54.tinypic.com/nvp5j.jpg
Oh poor swedie, as soon as we get one biddy, Dolly sorted and safe, another has probs, what can we do to help! Take care swedie, you know we'll be here for you whenever!

Walked to village this am in the weak sunshine, wearing fashion boots and big sweaters and jeans, then the heavens opened up and I was drenched, from head to foot, I had a scarf round my head and my big jumper collar pulled up and looked just like a muslim, got some funny stares!

Like you shaney, I hate queuing, and fortunately we do not have to much apart from stupid "supermarkets" where they hardly ever open two cashdesks. Love shopping in England but the queueing esp in £1 shop, I get really badly behaved and then pretend it wasn't me! In our post office (correos) we always have to queue and just when my turn comes, they go off for coffee leaving me to join the back of the other queue, and I hate it when people are not prepared and are actually at the desk filling in forms and addresses, and sealing parcels, I foam at the mouth!
Hi folks,

Just back from a walk and a coffee and cheese scone at the garden Centre. I had all sorts planned for when I got back, but now feel like doing nothing!!

Jude, what a lovely happy fella your dear Shep was. Do you think you may one day have another?

Swedie. You poor thing. Pop in when you can even if only to swear and shout and let off steam. I don't honestly know how this has been allowed to happen. Are you insured at all? Take care. xxx

See you later x
Thought you would enjoy this. Son just sent it to me. How Meggie travels when Master LL goes out cycling!!

Hiya possums, I'm at another library... Thanks for caring, makes me feel less lonely. Jno I thought about tape but I'd have to bring the curtains down each morning to apply it anew all around the frames, top, bottom, sides, each morning, as I feel I have to open the window each evening to clean the windowsill on the outside... as it's next to the one and only ventilation "hole"... May be better not to keep waving the curtains about too much as there will be lots of dust gathered in them, and I can't buy new curtains every day... This is the second pair, I threw the first pair away--- Did I say this is the third time this happens to me, well it isn't, it's the fifth... third one in THIS building.

Love all your photos - cats, dogs, husbands, parents, siblings - and will save Shep and Meggie to my computer when I get home tonight. Will check my email then too, Jude - are you sending me cyber Thornton's? ;-) (Explanation for the biddies: Jude sent me a bar of Thornton's organic apricot chocolate as "change" in the ring transaction, and it was sooooooooooo yummy. I don't eat a lot of chocolate as there's usually plenty of transfats in it but this one seemed very healthy indeed and the taste was dare I say delish;-) >>>> Uh-oh, time's up. <3 <3 <3
Shaney help please, another very old crossword. "a set of working instruments" (7) I have -o-l-i- and I can only think of coalbin, which it isn't!
Lottie, I think I've seen those "carriers" with children in them in Copenhagen! meggie is honoured!
