to the religious....
So whats it all about?
Retribution, judgment, what?
End times (again) maybe?
A plague from God?
A precursor of the Anti-Christ?

Serious question, what the **** is this all about then?
Or is it simply an unprecedented virus that science will cure?

Read your own posts, theland, and it will become clear. .

Agree with margarettom. We caught H2N2, whatever it was, 10 years ago, There was Asian flu when I was a kid (I ended up with pneumonia), my dad survived Spanish 'flu in 1918. Before that there were cholera plagues in the 1800s; before that there was the plague etc., etc. It happens. God doesn't cause it. This one seems to be the result of some horrible human eating habits which need stopping. You see God in the reaction. I am in hopes that a kinder, more caring and thoughtful society will emerge after this. Not biting, nailit, sorry. :)
I really thought Theland had a bible quote or some half cocked religious diatribe to get him out of any situation. Congrats, Nailit, you seem to have beaten him.
Clearly God doesn't interfere unless deemed necessary, if at all. God helps those who help themselves, maybe. I suspect what it's all about is trying to make sense of existence and the role life & death has in it.
OG, what the ‘it’s’ in your post above?
It’s a virus ..

Really Zacs. You too baiting the trap?
No trap. Just your inability to answer a simple question. Never thought I’d see the day. Hallelujah.
Don't be silly.
No silliness here. The only person who”S appearing silly is our resident religious ‘expert’ who’s stuck for an answer.
It just a virus doing what viruses do
If God helps them who help themselves why are there so many convicted shoplifters?
^^^^^
Lol!
douglas, you'll probably find your answer in the book of Judges.
Theland, don't bring me into this. I don't set traps. I simply ask questions when statements perplex me - and I'm still awaiting the answer to my last on the other thread in response to the claim that only God is good. //What is good about slaughtering thousands of people, women and children included?//
Theland, by responding to posts in the way that you do, you make a rod for your own back. I find your views on Muslims quite abhorrent and divisive, but I let you ramble on. I have Christian friends who work among Muslims and the vast majority of them are lovely peaceful people. Have you ever considered those who call themselves Christians, who have committed atrocious crimes in the name of God?
"When religious, God fearing, people get sick, why do they go to hospital instead of church?"

for the same reason they go to supermarkets and don't expect manna from heaven. God gave us hands and brains and expects us to use them.
An excellent answer from woofgang
Electrochem - my views on Islamism, not Muslims, are whet upsets you.
A big difference.
The Koran is a book of violence and if followed literally, leads to the numerous terrorist outrages, that sadly, we are all so familiar with.
Yes there are lovely people who are Muslims, but they are definitely not following the letter and spirit of their holy book, written by a paedophile, who married his youngest wife when she was six, and consummated the marriage when she was nine.
A fine example for his followers.
Either it's God who created all things... In which case man did a really bad job of inventing him..... Or it's evolution by mutation
Or Gaia is self correcting, I now feel like singing Never turn your back on mother earth....
If science can show how simple inert chemicals became life, I might have second thoughts.
