Windows XP System Restore
3 Answers
I have only one system restore point, created today by trying to install aService Pack 2 update that I shouldn't have tried to install. Due to low disk space, all other restore points have been deleted. As I have a, shall we say, dubious copy of XP, the system is now crashing repeatedly and I desperately need to restore it to maybe a month or two ago. Is there ANY way I can do this??? Please don't suggest the programme Go Back, as I have read so many damning reviews of it.

I think the best you can hope for is a repair of Windows by booting from your Windows XP CD and choosing to repair the installation (the SECOND time it asks, not the first time with the recovery console).
With a non-legal copy of XP however, you're always going to have trouble with service packs. Might be time to open the wallet, maybe?
