Mornin all. I'm sorry I've not been my usual self lately. I'm not used to feeling poorly. The nasal spray is helping a lot. Still have a cough but a better night last night. Thank goodness.

Morning all, went out for a bit of peace from the plabnes and blolw me if they didn't change their route so still noisy. Praying that the wind will not change cos then we are in slight danger this side of the island. I was wrong, the tourist planes are still arriving but cming in a different way to avoid the clouds of smoke.

ha ha silly mare!! (said affectionately!) I've just henryed the front room and dining room and am shattered, however did I manage with George. Have put some darker streaks in my hair as I hate it all one colour, and been to the Army camp up the road (it's where we dump the rubbish really) and hooted and thumbs up to them, they all waved back, love 'em!

Can I join the piddled orf club .Still coughing away merrily but dosed myself up last night and it seems easier .
Sorting out dusty stuff at the storage didn't help either .It's turned really mizz here .We've had a little rain but enough to do any good .

Wow, that's very impressive, neti - does your local airline pick you up from your front door? How convenient. On the downside, I suppose they suck up the G&T from your glass on the balcony and take it away to put out fires.

Very dull, gloomy day here but I am feelling cheery because I slept more than 10 hours. This is a bit silly, though - hardly any sleep on every second night, then long sleeps on the rest. And the odd thing is I feel just fine after having no sleep - no nodding off during the day, I just put in 20-hour days. I wonder if I am a genetic breakthrough, the first human who only sleeps every second day?

sorry, neti, I was referring to your earlier photo, not the video. Do the planes just have little buckets hanging out as they whisk up the water from the sea? What happens when they've emptied the Mediterranean, do they have to go the Atlantic instead?

The planes suck (scoop) the water up into their underbellies as they swoop into the sea and straight out again, the helicopers have big red bucket things hanging underneath, no idea how they fill them up and they drop the water on the fire. I think it a drop in the ocean but it's the best we have at the moment.

Moaning minnie here again. Was having a lovely quiet watch of tv in bedroom, with the windows closed cos of the noise of the planes, got hot so opened them and the most dreadful smell of burning wafted in. Have had a look can't see anything, sirens are going off, so have just watered the land again. Lawdy will it ever get under control. The Beed are mentioning it now. BTW I burned my lower tummy yesterday and it's itching like mad. My stomach is nearer to the sun than the rest of me! Bought a new bikini today .
