For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Mine is the same as yours - days apparently missing. It seems to be when the pc is not turned on at the due time - which is a nonsense. You would expect the point to be set at next log in under those circumstances.
I've tried to find a way of changing the settings without success. All that can be changed is the amount of hard drive dedicated to system restores.
Perhaps it might be worth while of getting in the habit of manually setting the restore point regularly.

I know how to create a restore point manually. We are discussing whether it is possible to change the time or frequency of the automatic system checkpoints, or whether it's possible to configure System Restore to automatically create a restore point before every software installation.
