The Google Street View Car.

Sitting at an outdoor cafe this morning I saw it and gave it a wave.  When can I expect to see myself on street view?

I'm afraid you're destined to remain in obscurity, Sandy, they pixelate faces and number plates.

Although they do pixelate the faces you should still be able to make yourself out when they do change the image.  My late father was on there for a couple of years and we could always see who it was.  The same with my sister.  I saw it was her on there a couple of years ago and she is still there today, face blanked slightly but can still see it's her doing the front garden of her house.  So keep checking.

My sister was on GE for a long time, sat outside the local bingo hall! A guy in our street was walking down when the car came along and his image was clearly on for a few years, not blurred or anything. Keep looking sandy!

You might not be on it at all. Several years ago the photo car pulled out in front of me from the right and I followed it for about three miles before passing. I frequently checked that stretch of road on Google Earth but my car never appeared, apparently they are not recording all the time they're out.

It's not visible any more, but for some time on Google Earth there was a Lancaster bomber caught on a satellite camera.

I live in a cul de sac and saw it go up so i go my son and we both stood on the door step, we are still there to this day it was August 2008

Other people in my village are on it.

The car went past my brother on his vintage/vetran motorbike but he's not on it!
