Why can't we all get on?

I have not been here long but get increasingly frustrated by the unhelpful and almost racist comments of some people on here.

Why can't all the people in this country live in peace. To constantly pick on muslims is very unfair. They only came here for a better life and I think it is the duty of all British people to ensure that they integrate as best as possible.

We should all go along to our local mosque and ask what we can do to help the muslim community. Maybe we could give them financial help or prey along side them to give them some sort of comfort during their hardship due to the narrow minded bigots in this country.

Perhaps it would help if people better understood islam. Maybe it would be good if islam was taught in our schools. I think that this would help us to understand muslims better and make for a better and more understanding society.

If we don't act now, we risk inflaming the extremists muslims. Better to spiritually connect with those that would advocate terrorism and try to lure them away from extremism.

strangely enough , I think at one time , it wasn't the law that one must wear a crash helmet. so in a way it's a law that's been repealed ; but it wouldn't stop me wearing a crash helmet, for safetys sake! and I'm a born again atheist.
And still, we get this badly articulated thing about "they want to take over". I haven't yet seen a single shred of justification for this ludicrous allegation from any of the people saying it.

Alfie, you'll have to explain your comment about the "disgusting" veil issue, and do they expect the law to change for them - I didn't get what you meant.

Wendy, I agree that you'd "expect" British expatriates to adapt to the language and customs of the host nation if they moved to, say, Spain - pity that so many of them don't, and choose to remain in insular british enclaves and not learn the language.
its obviously a windup and doesnt deserve this amount of posts.this has been written by someone called hamiz probably and unfortunately, although the name mighe be a windup,(Emma) a typical third generation muslim today exposed to extremism might actually believe in these pathetic sentiments.

Actually - Yes this is a wind up. Well - not so much a wind up as finding out just what you all think of the current situation regarding muslims.

I have to say I agree with the majority who have said that it is the muslims who need to make the effort not us.

I'm actually surprised at the number of you who agreed with the supposedly bleeding heart sentiments of a supposedly naive young woman.
Emma,
Wake up before its too late, the stated intention of these muslim extremists is to have britain living under sharia law, where are the so called moderate muslims speaking out against this. They are very quiet because they have empathy with these people too. Try teaching christianity in a muslim country and you would probably be executed - ask yourself who are the extremists, us or them?
Emma, is 1984 your PIN? I collect PINs.
