I was all for the Thatcher Council house sell off at the time but the money should have been used to build more houses. There is such a shortage of affordable homes.

2 - I can't believe you have no knowledge of ghettos -they are real and ofen tourist attractions 'China town'? I have no problem with people retaining their cultuer and origins so long as they try and integrate into the society that is providing them with employment and a home.

3 I am in the most referring to illegal immigrants few skills. They pay no tax, live in squallor and yes they pay for food -hardly going to boost the UK economy are they.

4 Fat white (and I suppose Black,yellow,brown) lazy work dodgers then, I'm not fussy, and not racist. Why so many on job-seekers allowance or benefits yet Immigrants are coming over for 'all the work' -it just does not make sense!

We are the only Western Country in the world that allows people in to work with no skills and no capital behind them. Australia,Canada,USA,New Zealand, you have to jump through hoops and have a substantial amount of money in the bank and a job to go to before they will let you in -then sometimes only for a limited time. They are not Racist -they are Sensible!

But let us examine why the Right-to-Buy legislation came about in the first place. It wasn't about letting people buy their Council house and fit a brand new white plastic front door. It was a badly disguised attempt by the Tory government of the time to persuade, by bribery, people to continue to vote Tory. The logic was that Labour councils charged less rates, as they were called back then, than Tory councils But that turned out not to be true. In Wales, we have a ruling Labour administration and yet our Council tax bills
( Rates by another name) are lower than in England. It was the same misplaced understanding that led to all our institutions to be hived off, the latest being the Royal Mail. Now we are paying through the nose for our Gas Electricity and Water, far in excess of what we were charged before.

But you can fool some of the people some of the time, etc etc, but by May 1979 it no longer worked.

I’d say ‘scum’ is a very appropriate term for the likes of Abu Hamza, wouldn’t you? In your enthusiasm for encouraging all and sundry to come to this country, you might find it more convenient to ignore the scum, but I can't.

Mikey, ....just as you ignore everything else that doesn’t fit your world view. One definition the [ignorant?] Oxford Dictionary gives for the word ‘Scum’ is ‘A worthless or contemptible person or group of people’. That fits Abu Hamza perfectly - and the many thousands of immigrants costing the tax-payer a fortune in one way or another, not least by pursuing lives of crime and clogging up our prisons. An appropriate description for them all – in my opinion.

I understand but my point was that prisons exist for such situations. The only way to "declogg" a prison in my opinion is to either deport the inmates or execute them.
