am going to use one tonight for chicken, can I put the potatoes in with the chicken and will they brown, cos if I have to put them in seperately it's not worth using the bag!

....and the water went off just as I had started the last load of washing, so I had to stand there for ages filling up a jug and tipping into the washing machine, luckily the water came on for the rinse cycle!
He he Neti. You with critters and me with the mice.

Browning onions with a bit of sugar is a good idea, but not if you are making the basis of a soup where you don't need brown onions. Unless it is French Onion Soup of course.

I actually like cooking and find it very therapeutic, but I hate, absolutely hate, baking cakes or making pastry and having to touch flour. I will happily dig around in the garden in the bare earth, but flour is just so awful.
Neti, if the water went off, where did you get the water from to fill the jug. I am puzzled!!

I have several 8 litre bottles on standby, I'm used to this place!
Oh, I see! Ta.
You could take your washing down to the river Nets and use stones to scrub!! More traditional!!
Here's a giggle for you Neti and Lottie, I copied your recipes and then went into them to read properly and ended up pressing the wrong key getting them as my wallpaper and my own picture I had on had disappeared. So after a bit of 'fuffuwaffin' I had to restore to yesterday's date to get my original back. What a plonker I am!!
I like the thought of my daft recipe being wallpaper Jude!! Fame at last!!

and me!!

Well, I have finally made an appointment with my doctor as finger is now hot and throbbing again and me and my big mouth, couldn't get an appointment til Wednesday, having said we can get them the same day!!!
You should have listened to our advice and warnings last week Neti. Tut, tut. Cant you just drop in to the emergency set up. If you leave it much longer there might be some problems!!
Oh dear Neti ,do go to the doctors or somewhere asap . If I'd left my hot throbbing leg I could have been dead by now .Do you want blood poisoning or cellulitis ? No ..well go to the emergency place for goodness sake ! Grrrrrr.

Freezing cold day here and nothing doing .I've trudged round the High Street. Nightmare scenario as they're putting new traffic lights in on the crossroads .It's dice with death to get to the library .
Now.. I love a bit of flour Lofty and can quite happily make cakes and pastry all day .
I've made The Hairy Bikers cold tea cake this afternoon and shall be eating it later spread with butter while I watch the tevee.

Oh btw ..what a lot of fuss about a speeding ticket .My bro got done last week .Over the limit in a 30mph area. Only just though and sheer bad luck. Three points and a fine .As he's nearly 77 and has been driving with a clear license for nearly 60 years he's quite happy to pay up and forget it .He may only have a few more years left to drive so he's not too bothered .Some people just love attention :)
Grumpy mare ....signing out xxx
yummy recipes...I love to cook and bake but am a lousy pastry maker.
Neti I have resurrected my imaginary placard, that I used to use at work, just for you...it has on it in BIG letters
**************TOLD YOU SO!!!!!************

now next time don't be such a baby :-)

I have had a steady day of cleaning and tidying today, marred only by the death of my tumbledryer.
What a soul destroying miserable day...it's not stopped raining, I've been frozen and Charlie's had a bad day. I've done nothing of any omportance either...I've had enough of this year and it's only February.

neti have you been putting your hand in hot water? Get some frozen peas on it.

I agree with you shaney, what a bloomin fuss.

Ok Ok stop yer nagging, have been to urgencias, and I have an infection in the finger, which is why it is so painful. Am on painkillers, anti inflamatories (sp?) and some thing cutanea to rub on the hole!!

Thnks to you all for nagging me else I really wouldn't have done it. Peace will reign!
big gentle hug Neti....
Evening all, is the carrot soup on the table yet? Mmmm it's soo good, I've never yet met a carrot soup I didn't like.

This has been a strange day, I slept forever and when I woke up I decided to clean the cat litter box before going out for my groceries. It took HOURS cleaning it cos I might as well do it properly. When it was almost done the fVcking bag with new litter broke and the contents were all over the floor... while Zingo just sat there pretending none of it was anything to do with him, well thanks a lot mate http://i56.tinypic.com/6qzc0m.jpg Next time I'll call some help in http://i52.tinypic.com/2wfl3pe.jpg (just kiddin', Zingo - TBH it isn't all that stinky at all, it's more the litter dust I don't like) ...and then I ended up not going shopping at all cos it got so late. This day just went by.

*goes off to look 'stpreroom' up in dictionary* >>>>> ♪♫ Goldfinger... a spider's touch... such a cold finger...♪♫ >>>>>>>>>>

...aww Neti just read your update - well done!
Well done Neti and thank goodness!! We were worried about you!!

Swedie, I use this, and it only needs changing about every 2 weeks. It absorbs the pee and doesn't cling to the poo which I scoop out and flush down our loo. You get no smell from it and no dust either. Brilliant stuff.

Off to bed shortly. What a horrible grey cold day it has been. It never got light!!

How about this for a snob cat litter tray?

"...a revolution in the field of cat litter, the onset of a dynamic and totally innovative category marking a radical change in cat care" - I WANT THAT CAT LITTER!! ...ha ha... thanks Lottie it sounds brilliant but cat litter is so heavy and my back so weak so I think I'll have to stick to the kind they sell in the closest store. Not a bad sort either, this was the first time I changed the whole thing - largely due perhaps to the fact that Zingo uses the outside lav:) - and I just thought that for once I'd give the box itself a good scrub, the whole "house" if you see what I mean. Does Alice venture outside?

Lol@ the hidden tray Woofy: "No one will know if your cat doesn't tell". I don't know why but that plant makes me think of The Pink Panther:)
