Locks For Writing Slopes?

I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

On ferry now waiting to leave Denia. Went to Benidorm to see where the TV show is filmed. Ugh what an awful place. Full of fat brits on mobility scooters. Rank. Couldn't get of there quick enough.

Finally back home. House clean and tidy, cat happy. Cant get home in van as the street has been dug up as we are getting sewers. Cant get car out either.
Have had a fab time but nice ti be home.

got some of Tesco's new frozen avocados, since they say this is the best way to ensure freshness and ripeness, but omg they are HORRIBLE. Complete tasteless mush, all soft with no flavour and no texture. Don't be tempted.

Been busy washing and drying everything. Didn't go out after the weekly shopping.

I love fresh but you never know if they're going to be solid or soft and black, so I was hoping Tesco's might have solved the problem, but they haven't.

jno jnr and d-i-l came to dinner, so nice to catch up. Her mum is about to turn 90 and her cat is about to turn 22. He is about halfway through a novel he's writing. (Prompted partly by finding out an old school friend has just sold her as yet unwritten fantasy novel to the USA for a six-figure sum.) Work's okay. They have lots of Christmas parties to go to. Sometimes my own life feels a bit quiet.

Good morning all. I've been awake since 4 feeling so sad. Never mind. Life is strange and I expect I'll feel better eventually. At the moment it just feels so unfair. Not for me for my Aunt, her daughter and grandchildren. Not only was she not allowed to her husband's funeral she has now been informed she has lung cancer.

I really hope you're all ok. Battling on like you do. I'm taking a leaf out of your book and doing my best to do the same. Thank you for being there x

Now jno the way to test a fresh avocado is to look at the little stalk hole. If it's beige pinky it is OK if it is black it is too ripe.

So sorry Jude sadness after sadness. I went out and did some food shopping at m ad s today and have put up some decs. It has been very windy and rainy here but nothing nearly so bad as the poor folk in cumbria have had.

Good morning all. Thanks for your kind thoughts. At the hospital yesterday with my Aunt and cousin the lady bicar came and we got together in s quiet room and she went through the funeral ceremony with us briefly and my Aunt was so grateful. I felt really eased by it all. Just a time to share. She didn't' preach' just caring.
So today im off to The concert hall at lunchtime on my own to listen to some Christmas music. Then a coffee in John Lewis. Have a good day and thank you.

Back to normal here again, Mr N gone off to work and hopefully tomget his new van.
Am off to meet some women for coffee. Havent as yet told Mr N about the blocked drain yet so i just run the washer when he ismout and it flows over the side patio and into the garden that is a jungle.

Lovely weather here. Fiesta til Wednesday imaculate conception and day of the Constitution. I managed to find a hinese shop open and bought yet some more xmas baubles..
Leccy banged off think its the microwave!
Have made a chicken and mushroom pie, and cleaned through, really must start on xmas decs or it'll be January before i know it.

good afternoon but it feels like morning. Dogs had a superb time last night chasing monsters in the windy pouring rain in the garden. This time last year Shughy believed that wind and rain were scary precursors of the thunder monster so its lovely to see him out there soaking wet and grinning like an idiot even when its 1 am.
My experience of hospital chaplains is that they are special people doing a difficult job. I am glad you are feeling better today Jude. I put some fo the chrissy decs up yesterday and will do some more today, also finish most of my christmas cards. A jingly day :) Neti, what will you do when Mr N finds out about the blocked drain????? Deny all knowledge???

Well woofy will have to tell him soon, after all i didnt build the damn sewer, he did!
Just got xmas decs out of shed. Oh gawd, quite depressing. Tree needs a foot mended, hell have to do it.
Ill start on it all tomorrow. Bought several lots of LED lights on mainland and at least one set is blue, hate blue it is so cold looking. Will try rest tomorrow. Yes defo manana manana for me today!
