I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

For a few years we had an ice rink here but it kept melting, so, the last time, couple of years ago they had an open air one made of special plastic. It was marvellous just like real ice, and skates had to be worn. I couldnt believe it so they let me touch it. It was slippery and everything. Actually i was amazed at how many of the actual locals could ice skate considering that we do not get ice here and there has never been an ice rink as such. It wasnt very big, well about 30 m x 10m says Mr N, so bigger than i remember
It was mini coopers first birthday party, he has 4 teeth and standing, getting on well. Hard to believe that iit was touch and go at the time.
Shaney, The Americans start again in March 2016, so will record the whole series for you again. Meant to be lots of surprises in this one!
Ooh thanks Neti .I'll look forward to that .
We haven't got a rink anything like that Jno ! It's only small.I don't even venture out onto the pavements if it's icy let alone making a fool myself on a rink .Btw BONG BING .Put 5th or 6th Jan in your diary .Lucy will be in Russia .

Having had laptop completely buffered 2x I have lost my link to the xmas wallpaper that I love. The one with the red settle by the fireplace. Is there any chance some kind and wonderful biddy knows where I can get it?

Robi might still have it, I think its on my other computer, I will dig it out and look later.
had another busy night. Rab went out for a wee at 6am and came back in upset and hobbling. I had a good feel around his legs and feet which he didn’t like, couldn’t find anything so I gave him some melatonin and a cuddle and we went back to sleep. Woke up at 9 and he looked fine but then started to hobble again...thought oh no, vet on a sunday and thought I’d better have another feel around first only this time I insisted.....pulled a huge blackthorn thorn out from between his toes on one back paw! He has only just forgiven me.

poor doggy my foot, he’s an idiot. If Shughy gets a problem he comes and plonks himself in front of me and says fix this! Rab gets himself into a tizzy and won’t let me sort out what’s wrong.
Aww deep sigh, all is right with my world, I have my Christmas screensaver, thank you all.
Afternoon all...is it a Happy Monday? No, not really, the weather's abysmal. Will we ever have a totally dry day? I'm eternally thankful I don't live in a flood area. Where did the weekend go? It just passed by in a haze of fog, rain and M&S food :)
I can't comment on all of your post over the past 10 days or so but I'm glad to see you're all ok(ish) and propping up the economy...I've just about 'dun spendin', and the few things I've bought online I'm really pleased with, although M&S have got some nice jumpers & cardis with 30% off.
Shaney, yes in your case you need to see the mexico, that doesn't sound like a wait and see ailment....and I hope your brother's recovering.
Sorry I couldn't hear you very well Jude when you called...were you washing your hair at the same time? :)
In my quest to give my skin a rest from too many chemicals I found a very cheap moisturiser in Boots last week and I love it. It's Simply Sensitive, it was half price and even has an SPF (as if we need that), £1.74! I'm going to try the other things in the range. Just hoping I don't wake up in the new year looking 1000 years old.

KBO for now.
afternoon all.
I only wear Nivea Soft on my skin and some K & Co sort of powder on face when I go out. Its made for mature skin and has a bit of shine, I feel it makes me look better, only worn that since 2012, never bothered before.
Yay Mr N has sold his old van and given me the money, just when I was running out of coffee money! I've had to replace that which I borrowed off hija's savings :-(
Chilly today.
Still waiting for Mr N's new Ford Courier van to arrive, but his insurance runs out tomorrow on old van so he couldn't use it, so best to get shot of it.
Have to see Mexico in hospital tomorrow for kidneys, Mr N is taking me in and then we are looking for microwaves, now that I can afford one!
Hi all
Another dreary day .I did trudge along and get my hair cut though.
Hope you're all ok .My brother is home and sounds alright. He's got to take it easy for a while and needs peace and quiet really.
I've got an appt for Friday for my leg with the nurse practioner .I did say it was painful but there's nothing sooner. I keep putting some emollient on it but it's so sore and weeping. Our surgery is merging with another one so I expect I'll have to book a year in advance soon.
I've got the decs out but no motivation . Hope you get on alright tomorrow Neti.
Keep slapping the cream on Robinia, standards must be maintained although mine have slipped a bit ,like my face ..lol.
