Locks For Writing Slopes?

I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

Bought some new LED lights didn't have my specs on and look and behold that are bloody BLUE! ! If I can find receipt I'll try to change them.
Have decorated front room, just greenery with red candles and baubles. Will attempt tree tomorrow. Just haven't the energy I used to have!!

well, I've been very busy writing and posting Christmas cards, neti. Some of them may only arrve in time for Ethiopian Christmas but I have done my best. I have just had a little bonfire of bank statements, credit card receipts etc and hope the smoke doesn't disturb any neighbours catching the sun in their gardens.

I thought i had all my xmas cards sorted but have just remembered the foreign ones to Oz and the States, will do them tomorrow, but will be too late for xmas i fear.

Well I haven't got much good news to bring to the party .They wheeled my brother into hospital on Friday ,he's got pneumonia.He seems better today and they seem to have it under control,not life threatening but worrying for us nevertheless at his age.It's just one thing after another lately.
Sorry to hear about your aunt Jude ,that's very sad for you .I hope she's not in any pain.
I don't seem to be able to get very enthusiastic about Christmas atm , but must get some cards written and do some shopping.I'll make a start though with Shaney's hat .

Hi all I'm back. A bit brighter now. Yesterday I went to Nottingham on the Red Arrow (lovely coach) none stop. Went round John Lewis and didn't care how much I spent on some Chrt presents. Then went to the Nottingham concert hall and listened for an hour to Nottingham University Choir singing Christmas Songs. There was a Brass Quintet playing some pieces too. A lovely hour relaxing and singing a few carols too. Got my Christmas Tree up and getting sorted. My friend is coming for the weekend and we're having a Footballing Saturday. The under 16girls who are top of their league and The Rams who are 3rd.

Yay xmas decs all done including front room tree and patio one. Am shattered. Finally got some white LED lights but they are very shoRT.. Blood tests over i am now stuffing myself on crusty bread and butter and banana.
SHaney i do hope your brother is ok. Poor man he must feel so wretched.

I like the light show .As per usual I'll have to untangle mine as I just bung 'em in a box after Christmas.
It's been a lovely day here ,cold sunny and crisp .Wish we could have a run of but it's back to damp and drizz tomorrow.
My brother is a lot better but they're keeping him in for another couple of days. I think it was a combo of things,grief and being run down and he didn't look well when he came round last week to get his ironing ,he was pale and feverish and coughing for England .I'd made him a fruit loaf and he must be feeling better as he said it was probably the cake that did for him ,cheeky B. :)
