My dishwasher has started to not wash the dishes in one quarter of the lower tray, the front left The filter etcet is clean, there isn't any obstruction and the arms are not blocked and rotate freely. The dishes get wet and hot so there does seem to be some water getting to the dishes. Any suggestions please?

By 'eck shaney, that was brave, who needs police with you around? :) We do have bobbies on the beat down this road but of course they're never around whn you need them.

I didn't have time to expand before, my dinner was ready (I did some chicken portions which shrank to the size of bloomin sparras, I really should have stayed in bed today)
I'm not taking it personally woofy, I was just mad about it. I waited a short while after it happened, I'm not daft enough to run out and hear them laughing at me from round the corner. Sure enough a couple of young lads appeared, picking up gravel from drives and throwing it up and down the road so I gave them a long mean stare and they went off. If I'd actually seen them do it I'd have told them I'd got them on cctv...haha, I haven't got cctv.
I'll ask about, I'm guessing I wasn't the only one.

lol Shaney, nobody messes with a biddy. Kids at a loose end, very annoying.
Shaney a girl after my own heart, but sometimes discretion is the better part of valour!

I hate that when it happens Robi. Years ago (early 80's) we lived in a flat owned by some locals and they lived upstairs with 3 of the most revolting children you could imagine, one day I saw them hanging a kitten out of the top window so I exploded and saved it, but then onwards they threw eggs at my washing and were dreadful ,thumping on their floors and blocking the light from the windows by "playing" at tents" little b's! parents were worse than useless, so we moved, we didn't like the place anyway and a much better one came up. But I hated it and felt persecuted!

I somehow didn't imagine you with young neighbours! Me thinks a coven of biddies is called for!!

It's warm here again. Oight oight all
They knew I meant business ..the not quite so drunk one was soon on his mobi to get the woman to pick them up when I mentioned the word police ...
I must admit I felt a bit shaky afterwards ,but having worked in a pub for years drunks don't faze me .
We had lovely a dressed crab salad for dinner ....and some cockles .I got a crab for my neighbour too and she was really pleased .Then she rang and said could I go and dish it up for her as the carer didn't know what to do with it .....sigh ....
Think I'll have an early one ....Oight Oight .
Oight, oight. I have been feeling off colour with a slight temperature all week and have suddenly realised that I had a pneumonia jab at the end of last week. All my symptoms tie in with the side effects of the jab which are quite common, including a very painful arm where I had the jab.

I need putting down at the vets!!
Morning all...a drop of rain last night left it even more humid than it already was, my hands feel like those big spongy comedy ones. Had another bad dizzy spell later too, I need to have stabilisers fitted.

Those boys weren't my neighbours neti, I've no idea whose little darlings they are, but as all the oldies pass or move away they're usually replaced by young people who have small children so in a few years time I could be surrounded by them.

I haven't had crab for ages, we used to have a weekly fishman with hands like a weathered old statue who used to bring ready dressed crab if we ordered it.

There's fungi growing everywhere, no wonder we all feel like crip, I don't think spores in the air are very good for you.

absolutely Robi, warmth and humidity are the worst conditions for growing nasties. We had a good drop of rain last night and the garden looks wonderful today. Waitrose do rather good pots of dressed crab in their fresh fish bit, either all white or all brown or a mix, also peeled brown shrimps. I can dress a crab but its easier to get it ready done and no smelly shells to dispose of.
We are at the stage here where the kids are grown up but yes, the houses that get sold are going to young families and the cycle begins again. I have retireds both sides of me and both sides of them so a nice peaceful enclave. There are kids in the gardens that back onto mine at the long side but the dogs have decided that screaming kids are boring and they have mostly stopped screaming back. I got a lot of stuff done yesterday so am going to have a day off today.
I am all packed and off to the sun for a few days. My ankles are swelling up every evening so I am wearing flight socks all day, which should be just great in 30 degree heat but mostly seems to work. In the long run I probably need an electric pump installed somewhere.
Morning all. Here I is. 1 more night to go.

Talking about kids my doorbell went one night and I asked who it was and this young girl asked me to open the door and I asked her what she wanted and she said would I call the police. Apparently a problem with some lads. I did ring the police and was asked questions to ask her through a closed door and they told me not to open the door. The next few minutes there was a flashing blue police car zooming in the close. To this day I don't know what it was all about. The police never knocked to see if I was ok or to tell me what was cracking off. There are some really good hardworking youngsters around today aren't there but the others can be little horrors doing damage all over the place.
Just got some easy ironing to do today and then maybe I'll go for a stroll before the rain eventually comes.
My soaking papers are really soaked now so I can squeeze them out and bin them, thanks to you Robi and Neti.
Shaney actually watch SOTD last night and answered 1 right. :-) What did Tolstoy learn to do at 61 years of age. My guess was ride a bike - correct! My grandaughter was a student at Wadhams but they didn't have any girls in their team last night did they. And they didn't win.
Going to listen to Popmaster now see how many I can score at that!!
Laters 'gaters.
Just read my post I did not open the door at all to that youngster even though I wanted to to help her.

its sad isn't it Jude but i wouldn't have opened the door either. I don't agonise about it but i am careful to lock doors at night and I keep a few walking sticks and heavy torches scattered around the house.
Morning all, it is officially 2º hotter this year than in the last 30yrs. and don't I know it!

Nearly keeled over again rushing about, but managed to make it home and then sprawled on bed under fan for half an hour, still feel dizzy. Hate it. Just cannot be bothered to do anything now, no washing (which I usually love) no cooking but wll still have to run hija to work at 17.15
Steady on neti, at this rate we'll all be in a heap on the floor, I'm still being careful and popping the dizzy pills It's a slightly better atmosphere now, the clouds have broken so the sun's out but it's not too hot.

It is awful but i wouldn't have opened the door either Jude, you can never be sure it isn't a con.

jno can you prepare a few one liners so I can fill in for you while you're gone? Ta ra, be back soon. Have a good time.
I've had an idea...I could soak some papers and use it as ammunition if the kids come back...in fact there's a bowl of stagnant muddy water at the bottom of the garden, that'll do nicely.
Question Author
ooh have a lovely time Jno ....keep up the old foot to the floor routine and wear your socks ! Legs up whenever you can although I expect you'll be dashing from church to museum to gallery so won't have time to lay prone on a chaise longue .Go to the doctors about those ankles .
Too warm and humid here ..Not a nice heat and no sea breeze today .I sympathise Neti ..I was sweating around the High St earlier and it's nowhere near as hot as it is where you are .
Hope you are all Ok ...
Didn't do well Jude ..I said swim for Tolstoy .I only got about six ..mind you I was knitting a complicated four row pattern and not really paying attention .

Turn the hose on them Robinia :)
Have a great time Jno.
You still do better than me Shaney. I'll have to get back in the swing.
This afto my neighbours son has been and cut and edged my grass. Bless him. Cost me a few bob but I didn't ming he made a good job.
The Rams play tonight so I'm going to sit in the garden and listen to it on Radio Derby. And all depending what happens tomorrow I could be going on Saturday to see them play at Pride Park.
I hope you all have a good night. I think it's going to be very muggy here.
See yer later 'gater(s)
ming !!?? mind I think that was
Done 3 loads of washing and it has dried and been put away, made chilli con carne, and driven hija to work and back. Just so tired, it's the heat.
