Let's see what the care home boss offers and we'll take it from there.  You have to convince them you can work better and not be under pressure

Apparently fatigue is not uncommon for those with dyspraxia.

Maybe Abers should do some research.

It is Pasta.  When Abbey worked as a dental receptionist, it would not be so tiring as a cleaning job is but she didn't seem to like it.

yet, as said before, not so fatiguing that abbey says no to socialising

^ Think I typed that wrongly - I meant it is quite common!

Bednobs, you're comparing apples and oranges. How can socialising be the same as being on ones feet...cleaning or tending clients/ customers? It's not just physical fatigue but also mental...organising, planning, focusing on tasks can be draining.

So is it suggested that abbey should seek to do a job she says she likes- the care home cleaning job- but limit the hours to say 20 a week (and not weekends to avoid her other 'commitments' like rugby, lunches out and dog walking)

Sounds like a dream NMA - where do I sign up?

11.11  //leave to take//  How much leave, Abbey?  You haven't been working at Care Home very long to have amassed a great number of days off.

I've only had 2 days off from care home and been there since August

My leave got declined in HB

I didn't realise you worked 7 days a week at the care home Abbey

Dyspraxia can also be a symptoms of my condition.  Fortunately, I don't have it.

Abbey, didn't you start at HB only a week or so ago? I didn't think you'd be entitled to leave so quickly...

I am wondering why the care home boss said "take some leave" to Abbey. Did she mention tiredness due to two jobs and also did she mention she would have to find a full-time job if they could not increase her hours.

The care home boss might now be wondering whether to continue to employ Abbey.

No the care home said I got leave I haven't taken any since I started so my options are the care home ups my hours or get a full time job else where

Floko - The care home boss might now be wondering whether to continue to employ Abbey.

I agree - I have never had a boss tell me to take leave after only 2 months of working with them!

Abbey, did you tell the care home of your tiredness and did you mention the other job ? In other words, did you give them an ultimatum ?
