Lavender Oil

Can anyone recommend a good lavender oil please? I've bought them in the past and they just didn't smell right somehow. It's mainly for refreshing wheat packs, pillows etc.

Baldwin' s of the Walworth Rd in London ( not far from the Elephant and Castle) are true herbalists and do a postal service. They will make it clear whether they are selling the true flower oil or artificial versions.
By the way, they sell wonderful Pot Pourri oils and lots of other perfume oils.

Hello folks
Hope you are all snug and warm. Very cold here and an easterly wind making it even colder .We've had a bit more snow .
I've been a bit miserable today but it's no good sitting here with a sad face .
My brother would have slapped it with a cold wet flannel :) Which he did once when I wouldn't get up !
Yes we haven't got it too bad at all these days ,when you look back .I saw that Winter Watch programme .They mentioned Chatham and the icebreaker on the Medway .It was frozen solid. My Dad and brother worked in the dockyard then .All the milk was frozen in the bottles at school and we
used the upturned crates to slide down the hill onto the hockey field until we got told off .
I'm looking forward to the Midwives and Mr Selfridge later.Pip Pip for now .

Oh Mr N went for a bath (a long one) then we were sitting in the front by firelight and one lamp when I espied hair in the bathroom bin (well I wasn't sitting by the fire then) so I came back in the lounge and put on the main light and looked at him, he's saved his beard off and has left a long moustache, he looks like a gringo, well I'm not sure about this, but as he said, it'll grow!
Good morning All. My Bro has finally gone home. It took him about 3 hours to get to High Wycombe. That wasn't bad really. It was snowing when he left and I'm pleased after much deliberation that he decided to go as I've had to take about 20 minutes removing all the thick snow off my car.
I've managed to go to Sainsburys on the main roads and stock up on food.
I'm off to 'you know where' again in the morning but Im not going in my car.
Hope you're all ok and getting through this 'nothing like we had in the old days' time. :) Laters 'gaters

Sun's out again now though, am making moroccan cous cous for dinner.

Just had a couple of shouts at the S/americans who live at the baCK. sOMEONE HAS MOVED OUT OF THE BASEMENT WHICH HAS A DOOR AND A TERRACE BACKING ONTO MINE, AND THEY HAD PUT THERE DEAR SWEEt LITTLE SCRUFFY DOG DOWN THERE (sorry can't retype it all) he can go in and out of the basement but he is used to being on the first floor with them, so he's been shouting and woofing 24/7, it only annoys me cos the dog is in distress, no one appears to have gone near him for the last few days, so I shouted when I saw one of the Windows newly opened, and insisted in my bad spanish that they shut the dog up! Well Little dear is back on the first floor again and is totally happy now. What are these people made of?
Hello snowballs
Hope you are all safe and warm .I was thinking about taking a pick axe and shovel out with me this morning !
But, I trudged bravely along to the hairdresser .I would have gone to have my hair done even it was ten foot deep !
I feel more human now and not like the wreck of the Hesperus .
I don't understand people who treat animals like that either Neti .They don't deserve to have a pet if they can't look after it properly .
I've done my good deed for the day and put some net curtains up properly at the front for my neighbour .They were dipping in the middle and looked untidy :)
So have rewarded myself with a nice coffee with a drop of rum in it .
