Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Hello all, another dreadful night here last night but looking like a better week this week. I went to a christening today. It was lovely, beautiful old church, lovely vicar and a wonderful service, halfway through we all made playdough models.

Hi all am at Gatwick waiting to fly home and I'm still shopping. Am in South terminal and I never usually use it and there are lots of shops. Was really I'll yesterday so cold and dizzy and vomitted 3 x. I managed to get WYES tested and optician said all my puffy sore eye was is a blocked tear duct. That's 5 doctors a tooth extraction and a nose job over 5 yrs and no one got it right!! Spend rest of day in bed with sister's track suit on. We really doubted I would make it today but feel a bit better but with nasty cough.
I've had a lovely time and don't want to leave but hey ho all things must pass.

Morning. Staying in bed as still dizzy with a bad cough. Clothes everywhere! Stinking hot so have air con on and dip in pool as will either kill or cure me.
No woofy she gave me an eye wash to rinse 3x a day until clear as I do not have a registered UK doctor. Says it should do the trick.

Hope you're all ok and that you feel better Neti. My mum had a blocked tear duct .Years ago now, but I seem to remember they cleared it with some sort of minor surgery involving syringing it.

Morning all. We are forecast this heatwave indefinitely! Just having another day lolling in bed and pool to cool down. Dreadful chesty wheezy chest and bit dizzy so nothing to do. Have just eaten a bacon sandwich with yukky spanish bread but it was nice. Mr N has so much dried washing in a pile and I just cannot sort it at the moment.
Am trying to wash out my tear duct but nothings changed yet!
Hope sister is enjoying her stay woofy.
Hope the rest of you are fine. Much as I love rain and cold weather I didn't enjoy it as just didn't have the clothes and knew I would suffer constantly getting damp!

no heatwave here, I might develop a chesty chest too. Cousin is visiting from abroad and after a long lunch here she has gone out to see the sights. I am waiting for the postman but he probably won't come till tomorrow despite the one-day-delivery guarantee.

I really enjoyed The Americans Neti and look forward to the last series.
It's been so windy here today ,40 t0 50 mile an hour gusts but good for drying the washing.
That's s ods law Jno. Mind you I ordered a DVD box set last Friday and it arrived on Saturday.I was astounded and I haven't even got Amazon Prime. Our beach was shown on Look East tonight in the "my perfect view" slot.It looked lovely.
Has anyone heard from Robinia ? I've emailed her a couple of times but no reply .I hope she's ok.

Hello all. Hottest day yet. Just unbearable. Mr N has had to clean the air con again as its spitting out dust. Still lolling about and doing nothing. The washing is piling up but as am feeling feeling too energetic I don't know where to put it if I washed it so am not doing it.

hello all, I am flat out today....I have been to a real genuine hike miles in ankle deep mud music festival. Headliners were 10cc who were amazing....sounded just like their recordings. Went out at 3pm got home at 01.30am, went to bed at 3am. My lovely sis took care of the dogs so I could go...the ticket was a gift from my friend down the road as her son was playing there. It was such fun!

Nothing so exciting here although it's been a fine day ,pleasantly warm with quite a bit of sunshine.Thunder and heavy rain forecast for tomorrow though.Well we can't have two days alike can we.
I pottered about in the garden removing weeds and runners from an old Rhus sumach tree until my back started so it was a short lived potter.I'm waiting for the stump to rot so someone(not me ) can dig it out but in the meantime it keeps producing runners.

My washing basket is empty Neti ,all done and put away.I have no ironing either.How virtuous is that ...lol.It won't last.

Good day biddies. How are we all and where is the Robi?
Feeling better today so all laundry done and put away, no ironing needed if put away immediately. The pile Mr N made is also sorted and put away, it is mainly his clothes and they do need ironing but will do. Have cleaned the bathroom and washed all that too. Keep popping in and out of the pool to keep fresh, hopefully this monstrosity of a heat wave will cool,down tomorrow as it tatters off to Greece. Not that I'll notice any difference, hot is hot, what.
Did anyone see Man in an orange shirt? I thought it so good and touching but the poor wife!
