Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Robi I just bought a good waterproof coat from Cotton Traders. Very light and foldable but genuinely waterproof. There is a fleecey lined one and a mesh lined one.

never mind waterproofs, I had my winter heavy-duty socks on last night plus a thick fleece, I was so cold. Probably should have had a room-temperature red wine instead of a chilled white with dinner.

Ok Neti .I'll make a note to myself in my notebook.By the time December gets here I'll wonder what the note's about . Funnily enough I saw something about it today fast forwarding to the sixties and Princess Margaret and her racy crowd.
Yes,waterproof jackets are the way to go especially after yesterdays deluge.It didn't stop raining here until the early hours so we had more or less 24 hours of constant slosh. I've got a Berghaus waterproof although it's a bit ancient now but keeps me dry if I have to go out in bad weather.Not that I venture out in the rain these days if I can help it.
Mostly used for walking Shaney who was an all weather walkies dog.
It's been lovely today though.Bright and breezy.
You sound better Neti and I hope Robinia's on the mend .

Oh btw Woofy have you been watching that programme Ten Puppies and us .Honestly, some of them shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a dog ! Especially that dizzy dame with that poor little Leonburger puppy.She was totally clueless.I was shouting at the tv.

I watched "Wilde" last night with Stephen Fry as Wilde, it was very good. Anyone seen it, it's quite old.
Snap woofy I won't watch upsetting things now especially with animals or kids.
There's quite a bit of damage around the island and some of the beach bars have been seriously damaged. It's all in the DM,fame at last!

According to mexico I am still shaking off the virus. My bronchias are dodgy but lungs are clear. She looked in my eye and said she could see a style inside. Wat rubbish. I've looked and nothing there. She was a bit worried about a warty lump on my arm and wants to see it next week.
My dress from M%S is delayed in Palma Mallorca and I cannot contact DHL.and they can't find me, as I do not live there!! 'll just ask Markies to send anther by post. That's the end of me ordering online!!!

Morning or whatever.
Went out for a coffee with Mr N and nipped to Chinese hairdresser opp as it was empty. He did a really good cut and I am pleased, am keeping my darker roots atm as it gives it definition. Must be feeling better as I have stripped the bed right down and steamed it all and replaced with clean mattress cover, clean bedding and all clean pillowcases as I use two pillowcases on each pillow for extra cleanliness .
Now having a cuppa. Hija came home at 3.30am and the cat made a dreadful stink, it was suffocating and when I evicted her she banged and shouted all night.
Anyone want a secondhand cat?

hello all. Am nursing a bad back that won’t shift. Its really very boring indeed. I know from experience what will fix it which is basically rest, move gently, rest, resist all temptation to do anything interesting. Bored bored bored. That’s it, moan over, as you were.

quite a nice day today... went out and got some Imax tickets for Dunkirk on Monday. Always a risk as my hearing is so poor, but the reviews seemed to suggest there wasn't much dialogue to hear anyway.

DHL insist I live in Palma mallorca, so I've insisted back very strongly that I don't! So they will call me back in an hour. I'll never order online again!

Afternoon all...throw the algipan over please...dreary old morning after a lovely weekend and I did my usual trick of overdoing it. I've obviously aggravated the trapped nerve in my elbow and my fingers are numb again. Oh well, I can still stick two fingers up the world. I'm reading a kindle book on body language, haha, no explanation needed for that gesture. I haven't learned a lot yet but I've confirmed some things. I've been a people watcher for years....my case comes up next week.

After much searching for monsoon proof jackets I ordered a red cotton one in the House of Fraser sale instead. I'll stay at home when it rains. Red isn't a colour I've worn much since the seventies but now I'm getting on a bit it's either go beige or go bright.

Hope your new mexico is as nice as mine shaney, I've only been once for a review but regulars tell me he's consistently good.

Hope all ailments improve and the sun isn't lost in the post.

It's been a nice day here again .Warm and sunny .I hope it lasts a bit longer.
My new doctor is very nice and she sorted through stuff that I don't need on repeat really such as the cream for my leg ,a bottle of which lasts me ages and stemetil which I only take if I have a dizzy dame moment .I can still have the things that I don't need regularly as and when if I request them though.
That's a total mess up Neti .Why do they think you live in Majorca ?
It sounds nothing like Ibiza ..lol. I hope you get your parcel soon.I'd complain about it and the cost of the phone calls .You can complain to M&S by email or live chat.
The jacket sounds nice Robinia .I like red .You'll need a matching brolly and boots :)
Otherwise ,same old .Hope you're all jogging along .
