Avast Blocking My External Hard Drive

My Avast demanded to be updated yesterday, so I did. Now when I plug my external hard drive in (a little Maxell portable) nothing comes up and I can't back things up. I assume these two events are connected as there was no trouble till today.

Is there any way to tell Avast to permit it? Or of restoring the earlier Avast? (Though I assume the latter would be risky.)

(Please don't advise installing MSE instead as I had the same trouble with it in the past; that's why I installed Avast in the first place.)

Hija's came home last night but haven't seen her yet. She starts a new job today so Mr N will be on taxi duty as car is in Garage for at least a week. Gld its not me having to drive!
Am going out his morning hopefully with hija's, and hair needs a cut as very long!

Walked to village and back so dreadfully hot. Had t iron two shirts for hija for work and I felt so ill i just collapsed on bed and haven't moved. Hija's also has the dreaded lurgy poor girl.

Oh what a dreary day.Rain and more rain with rumbles of thunder .
It came over so dark we had to put the lights on.
Poor Neti .I expect the heat is too much for you.I like hot weather but not the temps you seem to have been experiencing.Perhaps a good old storm will clear the air for you.
There's a huge ship leaving our port today loaded with wheat for Spain as they have a drought and can't feed the animals.

I think drought may soon be over Shaney as Barcelona us having a huge storm and we re forecast one for tomorrow. There was huge forest fire in San An today and the fire planes were zooming all over the skies. I thinks its controlled now. Scary. Felt really ill this afternoon had the runs but took an immodium and all is well again. Just too hot to feel unwell. Ive told Mr N I cannot do another summer here!!

Morning all. We've just battened down the hatches that is tied up all outside blinds, tied lilo up to closed sun umbrella. Its breezy and overcast much more pleasant. Mr N and hija got home from her job at 2.30am so she had a supper then ee slept til 10 this am. Mr N and I went to San Carlos for a quiet breakfast which was nice but as it's Hippie Market Day the traffic was horrendous. Am trying to get an appointment for mexico as this ill feeling is just going on and on and have no energy.r

if it's still 40 degrees I'm not surprised you have no energy, but it shouldn't make you ill.

Afternoon all...well what a lousy wash out it is. It's ceased for the time being. Non stop yesterday and I had to do a bit of shopping. It's made the algia and itis flare up big time, I went to bed early with a hot pack.
Sorry your hol was spoiled by picking up a virus neti, it sounds like the one going around here. Thankfully my stomach didn't make any sudden movements but I felt green...the fluish/dizzy/feeling faint was horrible. I'm still having off days two weeks on.

I really need to buy a good quality waterproof jacket, I left one in a trolley and somebody snaffled it, tut. I might just cut eye holes in a tarpaulin instead.

Oh Robi how wretched for you. I seem to fail in the afternoons and tummy is having ominous pains again .

It's still sloshing down here and has been since the early hours.Non stop constant bldy rain.It's enough to drive you to drink ,drugs ,app sex and rock'n'roll.....If I had the energy:)

Sad to see the great Glen Campbell has gone to the star spangled rodeo up above.He was one of Mum's favourites.
I just watched that programme about the partition in India.It was really horrific and we stood by and did nothing.
Let's hope the rain stops soon and we get some sunshine.

Good morning. Well the storm stormed all night, island is, as usual, flooded. But Mr N and I went out this morning to garage as I had to chase up my car! It's finally being done! We had a quiet coffee, am just starting to drink it again , and it was cool and pleasant. The sun is starting to come out again so let's all hope and pray the infernal humid heatwave has gone and we are back to normal hot Temps.

I've been pottering and sweeping the patio. Removed a dead rat from side terrace as its been there ages and no one else will touch it. I don't mine as Mr N removes live and dead cockroaches eek and we are getting quite a few this summer. Just had a nice shower so feel better. Mexico tomorrow.
Shaney it's a long way away but can you remind me in December that The Crown starts again
This time its Princess Margaret.
