Yes the boys like to eat snow...also drink fresh rainwater, especially in the forest where it has filtered through peaty soil and is the colour of tea. I keep their bowl at home filled with fresh filtered water changed many many times a day but the natural stuff seems to be delicious to them.
Thank you for your encouragement. Its nice to be understood....DH was very sympathetic but i could see the expression of puzzled terror in his eyes.

Oh poor woofie ..are you at that time of life ? Don't panic ,I know exactly how you feel.
I once terrorised Mr S by literally sweeping the whole monty off a work surface and then proceeded to smash plates and stuff . I ended up sobbing fit to bust . Good job he's a tolerant man .
It's about the only time I have ever completely lost it .This was shortly before my Mum died and the stress of travelling back and forth and the worry got to me . And I'm still convinced this infection in my leg is the result of being brought low by going through the whole process again with my ma in law .
I've come to the conclusion that it's no good stressing over things .As I've got older I've realised there is jack sh.. you can do about some things and you have to go with the flow ,have a good howl and KBO ,mind you if I had to pay seventy quid to get rid of a bit of cardboard I'd be looking for the biggest knife I could find :))
Still cold and dismal here .The sun comes out now and again but it's very watery and it keeps drizzling .Oh, roll on some warm weather please .
They've had those doings in our wheelies since we got them Robinia .
Our council are rolling out brown bins for garden waste now but it'll cost an extra forty quid a year if you want one ....yes ..on top of the council tax .Cheeky buffers.

time of life??? don't talk to me about time of life its been going on for 15 years now!!!
actually I wouldn't go back to the pmt and the pain and the mess (sorry if TMI) At its height I tried HRT and turned in to Perry Patterson's menopausal granny, Had two or three yelling throwing things strops and decided that the flushes etcet were preferable.
I am carrying a bit of a load at the moment (pity party anyone?) but it is finite.
Yes i think the body does say "enough" I am having a string of colds and stomach upsets which is not like me at all

Oh crikey woofie I'm so sorry ..did I hit a nerve there ?
I know what it's like .I had a hysterectomy at a fairly young age (38) ,they left my ovaries and I felt fine for a while, for several years,in fact ...until the menopause really kicked in and I was hell on earth to my nearest and dearest :) I wish they had taken the lot at the time ..your life in their hands etc ...
I tried HRT for a while but it was just prolonging the agony .So ditched it and went down the natural route .Menopace etc and all sorts of other "natural" thingys .But nothing helped really .
To be honest I still get the odd flush and I'm 62 now . I can remember my Mum still getting the bloody things in her early sixties and throwing saucepans at my Dad. Poor old chap .
It's no joy ride .Some people seem to sail through it .I didn't :(
And I still get the moodies but ...it's no good moodying .I talk sternly to myself and am lucky to have people who jog me out of this black doggish stuff . I am very prone to being depressed. Arthritics etc .Which is dire but it's no good moaning .I can't do anything about it, except keep moving :)
I am grateful to Mr S all the time .He insisted I went to that exhibition and it really lifted my spirits. KBO old girl .Don't despair xxx

Oh bless the tiny bird Kit, it's so sweet....Does Charlie eat snow?!.... hang on.......I put it to him & he snorted in disgust. Says NO.... he's not likely to eat anything that his bloomin danglies have dangled in thank you very much. The only disgusting habit he has is to lick dried bird poo....yuk. Oh and he grazes on couch grass but it never makes him sick.
Love the doormat but owing to being a victim of the of the cosmic pmt epidemic...yes me too..this is today's.. http://mugnaiwp.lg1.s.../08/doormat_funny.jpg
...and shaney's definitely the psychic one today. I was attempting to sort some clutter earlier, getting nowhere and for one mad minute I wanted to do the scream & sweep it all off thing....then I remembered there's only me to clean it up. So I thought s0d it and took a cuppa & a box of shortbread into the other room :o) I haven't felt right since my brother died & it takes the merest of things to tip me over. Don't despair woofy.
Does anyone want to come & live next door? The house will be up for sale before long no doubt & I'm worried who I'm gonna have as a new neighbour.
I'm on hrt, tried giving up on gp recommendation but it was horrendous...so no doc, gimmee!! gimmee!!

Thinking about it ..in retrospect,.the hysterectomy was the best days work etc. No more of that fluffing weeks of bleeding to put it bluntly and it did help enormously at the time .
I was literally bleeding for England. So much so I was uptight all the time in case of accidents and the fact it was leeching the life out of me .Which is not good when you have a family to look after and a job to hold down .But they didn't tell me about the aftermath.Things have moved on since then and there is help out there.
Don't be afraid to talk about it woofie .We are here to listen. I often feel like climbing the walls.Glad I have you lot at times when I feel like poop. You always cheer me up ..
Large drinkies, chocolate and Golden Syrup glugging is the way to go :)
Plus Law and Order ( the american one ) which I am now as much hooked on as I am on Bones .Daft but neccessary :)

I could climb the walls by hanging onto the cobwebs at the moment, hehe
Do you ever wonder what the distant future will be like for people's health? will all the illnesses & troubles that we've had be none existant do you think?...will a band of biddies be saying 'those poor women, what they had to cope with was dreadful'? And all that chocolate that they ate! What exactly was chocolate? (the government will have banned it by then)
:o)

As long as they don't ban sardines Robinia .That would not be on at all . If I'm still alive when they eventually ban substance abuse such as chocolate I would stage a dee mon stray shun ( as said by dear old Fred Dibnah ) and squirt them with Golden syrup :)
I'm going to watch Law and Order.I know I'm only on series 1 but it's brilliant .No mobies and they wear macs just like Columbo :) Hee hee...

I'd only seen it here with Bradley Walsh ( mmmm...) but asked in TV and everyone seems to love the American version .I'm twenty years behind having looked it up on Wiki
I have a lot of catching up to do :)
At the latest stockpile count I have 8 tins of sdns and one and a half bottles of Golden Syrup plus a bar of dark chocolate with orange and tub of Chai. I think I'll be OK until Sunday.
I may possibly make a sponge cake tomorrow ....just to use up the last of a jar of strawberry jam and half a tub of whipping cream :) Well ..you can't just throw it away can you ....
Toodlepip for now ,have a nice weekend everyone xx

They wanted me to have a hysterectomy when I was 25, and I,m so glad I fled to Spain, cos although I've lost 4 babies (one lot of twins) I have had my lovely daughter! Had a tumor on one ovary which hurt like mad and we were convinced it was c so cut
off all my long hair and Mr N and I sat up all night discussing our daughter (cos I had her when I was 42) so she was still young, but it all disolved no more probs. Life eh???

Evening biddies. Well if Vinny ever ventures to come back after today and tonight, he he, that would be an act of heroism;-) Are y'all saying that many seemingly unrelated health problems are in fact related to hysterectomy? Reason I ask is that one of my friends had one a couple of years ago and she is certainly having some new health problems. She had asked that they not remove the ovaries, but one had to removed, once she was under.
Oh I remember Columbo. Totally new concept back in the days, we had never seen anything like it had we. Damn, I was reading something, it may have been about a teve series or a film, and the review was quoting how whatever it was was like a cross between Franz Kafka and Benny Hill, and I was thinking I'd ask about it here. And now I can't remember what it was... and it was only yesterday!
Shaney what does 'Appenzeller' mean? It's my new cheese of choice:) Zeller is cellar? But 'appen'?
Sure Robinia I'll move in next door, we'll have fun http://i45.tinypic.com/3505dti.jpg :)
