sigh... another crown has fallen.... no, no, Prince Charles is safe, it's just one of the ones in my mouth... a call to the dentist in the morning is on the cards.
Your toothsayer told you it's on the cards?

...okay o-KAY I'll get me coat...
aaaaggghhh don't try to make me laugh, Kit, I don't want more of them spilling out.

Nice try though :-)
I'm just waiting for Dyno Rod .Blocked drain .It's all backing up the pipes and stinks. Buffering thing .Mr.S. has had to go and bail it all out with a bucket and we've got stinking water everywhere . . oooh I'm cheesed off :)

Afternoon, been to British consulate to collect my Driving Licence, nice little card one this time, so even if (and I alsways do) wash it, it should be Ok!

Thanks for tip Robi, I was sending the tug everywhere in the world but that one!!!

My kitchen sink is blocked and I was thinking of unscrewing it, but can't be bothered, will let Mr N do it. He's finally gone to the doctor about his knee popping out and it is (in English) an inarticulate mouse!! so now he has set the hospital visits in motion and my poor painful knees will have to wait until he's sorted cos if he's operated on I'll have to drive him to Rehab for about 6 months and if the 2 of us have wonky knees, we'll have to go in the ambulance and that takes 5 hrs every day, my life isn't long enough!!!

Have just cleared all my drains by directing a hose of water through them, at great speed, well pleased!!
Question Author
In english I think you say a jet of water! what am I like???
Well a jet of water isn't going to solve this .They've cleared it pro tem but the problem is underground .The pipe which goes into the main drain is broken and will have to be dug out and replaced.Oh deep fluffing joy .I just hope we're covered on our buildings insurance. British Gas cover the plumbing but they have such a lot of small print .

I hope all other poor old souls are OK .It's bloomin' freezing here too.Sheesh,am I fed up to the back teeth with this weather ( pardon the pun Jno)..Hope you get your crown restored asap. You could always borrow one of my tiaras to to tide you over :)
And ,tomorrow I have to take my blasted leg to the hospital.
I think I'll head in the direction of the whisky bottle .It's been that sort of day.
Take care all.
hello sisters (and brother Vin!) in misery. Once again I do appreciate the support, am back on the up again. We went out today in the persistenting down rain and had some lunch and normality seems to have been resumed. may your normalities all resume soon, loose teeth, back pain, knees with mice in, blocked drains and all.
evenin all...is there no end to your talents neti? Can you pop over & fix jno's crown?
oh no, not money down the drain shaney...I suppose the only good thing is that it's not the hottest day of the year which is the favourite time for them to get bunged up in my experience.
Certainly no heat & sunlight around here either, it's been snowing this afternoon and
I've tidied & cleaned the cutlery drawer....such excitement in my life, I don't know how I contain myself sometimes.
see if you can tidy mine for me, Robinia

Just rang my eldest daughter in UK and sang Happy Birthday to her only for her to say -are you alright -what day is it -apparently it's not till Thursday ! I do wish whoever is mucking about with my life etc would leave me alone .It snowed on the day she was born no wonder she likes your weather (to a point).
I see you have another two weeks of it to go yet but the March Winds will blow it all away (won't they ?) and Spring will be in the air ,lambs will be frolicking in the fields ,daffodils and snowdrops will be poking through the frozen earth and then Easter will be here with its attendant Easter eggs ,Hot X buns and I hope you have all given up something for Lent ! no mention of Pancakes on here ,did no-one make any this year ?
Well I hope all aches, pains ,loose teeth etc. etc .will soon recover just as I've developed Arthritis in my knees ,shortness of breath and an inability to cope with everything any more. Mr.D is very slowly recovering but has had a couple of bad days since he came home -he's all aches and pains as well - oh well better than the alternative eh!!!
hiya Dolly, well certainly the worst winter in my thirtysomething years in these parts - not so bad in the great metropolis but places like faraway Norfolk must have had 6-8 snowfalls or more, and it's been lurking down around zero since before Christmas. Consider yourself well out of it.

So does this mean you'll no longer be able to do the half-marathons on the same day as the ballroom dancing?
haha, is that your travel one jno? anyway, there you are, 'tis done http://blog.makezine.com/cutlerychair.jpg

Morning people...
have you all gone down the plughole? Oh no, sorry...hope something at least is going down there. One of the most drop dead gorgeous men I've ever seen was a drain unblockerer man...not sure what he came here for but I didn't even have a problem in that dept & I had to send him away, tut...took me ages to stuff all that rubble down there after he'd gone :o)

Well I don't know 'bout you but I'm sick to the back gums of hearing about Cheryl Cole so I'll be avoiding all news reports for the immediate future...please let me know if the world's about to end.

by the way, this may be of some use to those who like Italian cooking...

ooh, hello Dolly you sneaked in there, did you tunnel your way in? My brain wandered a few weeks ago & hasn't come back...I've started doing the old lady thing & telling people things I'd already told them...
