Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Evenin all...is this the beauty parlour? Ive got an Urban Decay eyebrow kit which I like but don't like Benefit mascara, I've gone back to Clinique's High Impact(?) cos of my sensitive eyes. Sis has picked up their eye primer and shadow for me today while she was in JL. It's a bit pricey but it lasts me ages I get fed up of wasting money on cheaper stuff.

I'm shattered, I hit the Drs number at 8.02, got through in 6 mins.....and waited an hr and three quarters for them to call back with an appt. Went this pm, got the dizzy pills, bp slightly up but within normal range.

Make sure you clean all that slap off :)

Jude have you ever been to Keith Hall's? He (founder) died on 10th May, 94. He revolutionized hairdressing in my town, the waiting for appts was longer than today's drs. It was goodbye shampoo and set, hello feather cuts and blow dries.

Success! I've read all your posts. Laughed at some comments and felt sorry at others. About your aches and pains. I'm really lucky I don't get continuous ones I usually get sorted. Like my wrist but Carlos has done a good job so it shouldn't hurt now as long as I do my exercises for a while to get the tendons under control or something like that he said. Woofy you'll know.
Robi I'm a mascara person nothing like false eyelashes. I use boot No 7 makeup except lipstick which is Rimmel. Also I never used Keith Hall hairdresser but I do remember him.

well, Gino finally tu4rned up, sorted everything, didn't charge for labour as he said it was his own fault, shook hands all round and went off to a birthday dinner with his girlfriend. Touch wood it's all fixed and no unexpected whirring at 2am. And all the massed towels and sheets and everything can go back into the airing cupboard from sitting on the floor for a week. Plus cousin has arrived for a week so we will go to the theatre next week with her.

I used to use L'Oréal mascara for years and then they changed it, so now I wear Primark special at £1, for everyday and benefit for special occasions.

hello all...glad you got to see the mexico Robi. I don’t wear any make up ever...I prefer to terrorise the population. It had been a dreadful day here, loads of vert short storms and dogs have hated it, big computer has died on me again, am working on resusc now...one funny bit today, had a family of starlings visit the feeders this morning….mum dad and three babies. One baby insisted on being fed and just sat there yelling, one got on with it and the other one squeezed himself into the small bird feeder, which is protected by a cage, small birds can get in and out, larger birds can’t. This piggy stuffed himself and couldn’t get out again! he finally squeezed back through the bars and flew off…poor harrassed scruffy looking parents!

Woofy I had a baby magpie in my garden and it couldn't fly it just 'shuffled' away when I took it some food which I did every day and believe this or not when I was there 2 adult magpies made such a noise on my roof. This has been happening 2/3 days then today I looked out and it had died on my lawn.
I was a bit sad.

I had a sparrowhawk in the garden last week .I happened to glance out and there it was on the lawn having a lovely meal of some poor bird.I left it to eat up as I didn't fancy clearing up the debris ..ugh. When I did go and look there was nowt left but a few feathers.
That's a nice candle Jude ,very artycrafty.
Well it seems we're all systems go again .Jno's Gino turned up,Robinas got her pills,Jude's doing well, Woofy's getting there,Neti's cooking on gas and I'm halfway up the sleeve on my jumper and waiting for new mascara.All's well in crazybiddyworld :)

Morning...mowing day so it had better stay dry. 5ish hrs sleep, better than none I suppose. My feet felt very odd when I got out of bed, I'd got my slippers on the wrong feet :)

Better check my lawns for dead creatures before gardener arrives.

It's a lovely one so far.
Lol Robinia .I only wear one slipper or shoe atm.Still,I suppose it saves on shoe polish.
I'm going for a toddle round the High St later once me and my face get into gear. Need a few bits from Wilkos and QD etc.Hope my mascara arrives so that I can wow the butcher. I'll update you all later :)

Gosh do you get deliveries that quickly shaney? Lidl phoned me yesterday as they replacing something but won't see it for at least a week if ever!
Just remember to put that mascara on gradually little by little or poc a poc as we say in Ibicenco. One sweep may be all you need. Don't want you tarty looking my girl!

And keep a clean dry mascara brush so you can separate the lashes and remove excess if necessary.

I keep feeling droopy, it might be the pills, I haven't had them in any quantity for a long time. I try to keep a few in in case of sickly headaches and just take one.

Grass looks lovely, as long as you don't look closely that is, two thirds is very mossy.

I am itching to deep clean my bedroom and to change curtains and bedding to summery ones but with hija hanging about its impossible as I need room for moving things! And by the time she goes at 17hrs it's too late and I get tired.
