Electricity In Dubai?

Can anyone confirm that the electricity in Dubai is 220v, and that the plugs are the same as UK ie 3 pin? Thank you.

Well what a palaver. I was just going to log off when I posted earlier and ping,Windows 10 downloaded itself onto my computer without my permission! Cheeky monkeys.
I couldn't get away from it so had to let it run and it's installed itself.I don't want all their fancy updates but will have to put up with it I suppose .It's not that much different for what I need the computer for anyway.I keep getting someone called Cortona or something asking if they can help me.They can b off ...lol.
Mr S panicked and thought he was going to lose his precious spreadsheets but it was all there .
Anyway, mascara didn't arrive so plodded out and got what I wanted.
I'll save the brush from my old one Neti .Glad you gave me that tip .I always used to keep an old brush but have become very slack lately :)

Can't help you there Robinia .You're welcome to some new spuds and french beans though ,plus a stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon, prepared by my friend the butcher , all with gravy :)

Robi, your garden looks lovely, so neat and green. Mine is green but not neat! Spent today getting over yesterday. after all the bad weather, the computer finally decided to resusc last night and I didn’t dare stop it so didn’t get finished till 2 am

I ate boring mac cheese cos there are no toms or HP sauce in the house, and I cooked cauliflower cheese, frankfurters and sliced fried pots with onion for Mr N!
Am showered and in bed waiting for my soaps.

Thanks...for the first time this year I actually thought it looks quite nice but much of it really needs redoing. That spruce needs to go in the ground now. I kept it in a pot while it was small because I had Charlie and a few cocks of his leg, followed by foxes and it would have been dead. The robinia's slow coming into leaf, the wood pigeons like sitting up there.

Hi all. Thanks for the tip about Mascara Neti. I still have problems even now with mascara but I will have another go.
I had a squint op years ogo (65) and had to have them cut off. So always felt I needed to get them to curl up again. Just about done it. :)
Been to Per Una and saved about £25 today with 20% off voucher. Bought shoes, bolero, handbag and flowery top. Fed up with stripes.
Getting ready for my week away in York, between doing my exercises for my wrist, and doing most things one handed. I have an extra large rubber glove for difficult jobs.
Off to the Theatre Royal Nottingham at lunch tomorrow.
My walking friend has broken her left wrist and mine's the right so we are going to look a right pair. Have decided to put a photo on Face Book.

Lovely garden Robinia,lovely colours. My spruce has got lots of those lovely little shoots on it atm too.Well it has my side .I was worried it would die after next door hacked at the bit that was overhanging instead of pruning it back properly.It's straggly at the top but I'm hoping it'll recover.

I have cleaned u see the bed and all around where does the dust come from. And the "stored" rubbish? Have popped out for a coffee before I go back and iron the summer curtains and put the fresh bedding on.Am shattered.

I have finished the best from apart from one corner where MrN stores his old very old work clothes!! Have washed the walls and changed the bedding and the matching pictures. Luckily I got away with not ironing the long white curtains just couldn't face it and they look ok. Winter curtains just drying now to be put away until Oct/Nov. Am shattered and felt very dizzy a couple of times.

Mascara has arrived and wow ....very good .I've practiced poc a poc ..lol and now have eyes that don't fade into the wallpaper.
Cloudy old day here but quite warm .

Evenin all...it's been a mostly overcast but mild day and I've been very tired and dizzy despite sleeping a little better (6hrs in two stages).
I only ever do light gardening in short stints, I did a bit more in that area in the pic I posted .

One of my all time favourites that woofy. I liked Kevin Rowland but never admitted to it at the time.

Birds are singing well this evening. It's lovely to hear them but I wish they'd have a lie in occasionally. :)

I didn't actually sit down this afternoon till 4.45. I was changing over the tvs as hija doesn't use the one in her bedroom and it's bigger than the kitchen one so I had to reconnect all the dvds and gubbins, got them all working now oh and had to clean the kitchen one, what a sticky mess!
I have sprayed the cat's clean nest with feliway in the hopes it will calm her down at nights, she took one sniff and ran for the door but I live in hope!
Just not hungry today so have eaten one slice of bread with treacle on and a cuppa black unsweetened tea. Now bathed and in bed.
