Great tennis and cricket .Mr S and I were passing each other in the hall some of the time watching bits of each or shouting out the scores to each other.We only have one TV and the computer in the kitchen.Well done England and Novak.

Not long now until the football season starts. Norwich went up to the premier league this year and Mr S will be avidly following them and Fortuna Düsseldorf in the Bundesliga.I expect he'll be doing spreadsheets:) It keeps him happy though.

I enjoyed the tennis final but got bored! And fell asleep so missed the end.
Very hot today but o rushed about and felt quite dizzy then the sky went black so I.legged it home as fast as a 74 y o.woman can uphill to get all the bedrooms washing in.
I felt absolutely begged
Now flat out on bed and staying here!!

Haha Jno .Happens to the best of us.I once put a meal in the slow cooker before going to work.When I came home it was stone cold.

It's been a glorious day here and hope you've all had the same.
I treated myself to a Kindle as they were reduced for Prime day,it came today and I even managed to set it up myself! I can read books on my tablet but it's heavy and makes my wrist ache after a while and the Kindle is much lighter to carry about.
They also had reductions on films so I watched Mary ,Queen of Scots earlier.It was quite good. Stan & Ollie for tomorrow evening .

went out to the local Italian with a friend who's staying a couple of nights. Years ago she worked with Boris Johnson in Brussels, and hates him with a passion; she can't believe the lying little toad (her words) is about to become PM. Funny old world..

A lorry has brought down all the internet cables in the street! I was the only one to report it to the internet company and it all needs relaying and begger at end house refuses permission for the cable to pass his land so basically we are stymied! A new post will have to be erected and god knows how long that will take. Electric company wont allow internet to use their poles either!!!

Brightening up after a dull start.
Crikey Neti,why do people have to be so awkward.Surely he doesn't want to be without his internet either.
Yes Jno, we're about to have Trump's poodle unleashed upon us.
Hopefully he'll become the shortest serving PM in history but then again the alternatives don't bear thinking about.

Have had to buy a new sim card for data as no one knows when cables will be replaced
No phone, no Spanish TV and no internet. Thankfully we have sky freesat TV!

My computer is back. I was right, there isn’t an original part left. Seems like its going to take me a gazillion years to get everything reloaded

I have bought a pay as you go sim card with loads of data so I can still be on internet. The company are applying to the council for permission to erect a new pole so the cables can be high up this time. Could take a while!!

went into town on two missions today, to find out why I've been given an eye appointment at the hospital, and to get my camera repaired.

Hospital didn't have a clue. The camera people couldn't do anything with my camera because I'd forgotten to take it with me.

I'm not doing very well this week.

Oh dear jno join the club. I was convinced today was Wednesday and cant get anything right today. It is very hot and extremely sweaty today and my left nostril wont stop sniffing! Had nails done a.pilac colour and I dislike it but at 43€ a time I'm waiting ! Have had an awful job finding a matching colour for my toes but found it in a Chinese shop at 1€. Well pleased.

It's been raining hard out there but lovely fresh air now after it being really clammy.Had zig zags in the eyes all day and a splitting head but it's gone now the rain came down.I rarely get a headache so it must be horrible for those who get them frequently.
Hope you're are all ok. Are you able to get your internet now Neti?

Unfortunately no internet for the foreseeable! And no discount on monthly bill. We are paying 80€ for *** all! But if we cancel theres no.point in them repairing it!
Sister has gone to Eastbourne Prise on her own! Wish I was there. We've done a quick shop and now staying in aa unbearably hot again!

Hello all
That's not on Neti. Won't they compensate you ? Though if they're anything like here they won't.When we moved here it took BT a couple of months to reconnect us and we were using internet through the phone line or whatever it was back then .Cost us a fortune but they wouldn't refund us in spite of having a contract .
Bit fresher out today and it's been raining hard again.
I'm in the process of sorting things out :)
