Locks For Writing Slopes?
I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.
Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

I have carved my tongue up, no idea how so have been out this morning and bought bonjela and a load of bland soft food. Glad you have seen someone about your leg Shaney, elevate whenever possible...you know the drill.
We have the new Van. It's huge like an aeroplane cockpit. There's no way I can drive it as I can't see over the top of the dashboard even though it has a pump up seat. The garage connected my smartphone to it and wanted to download all my contacts. No way Jose! I of course had to drive my old tatty car home but I enjoyed it with yea old Barry Manilow belting out.
Blimey have we all decamped? Have the storm troupers trouped you all away?
Well anyway. Mr N got me up early and off we jolly well went in the new van to San Rafael for brekkie, then to Lidl in San An got sweets and lobster and rubbish for xmas. He wanted me to drive iont he motorway but I declined, maybe tomorrow.
I download loads of music to a usb for him as there is no cd player in his van although it has everything else. I sat in the sun after he had gone to golf, but it was so warm, and the old age pennies have arrived for the cheap holidays, place was heaving. Even saw Santa in the square but he buffered off double time when I appeared !!I have finally made 4 pillowcases, after unpicking a king size fitted sheet. Took me 3 hours and machine was messing about. I rather think tis I that cannot cope with the machine but hey ho, now finished and ironed and put away.
Now having a cuppa. Mr N is doing dinner so am now just relaxing. Hija is out with the finacier.

Evenin all...only Storm Droopers here, more damp weather. Very mild but all that's done for me is give me a dull headache all day. Can't be bothered to cook so I'll mostly be eating sandwiches for tea and watching Strictly....hope Jay wins.
The sun didn't last long yesterday but I did amble round the local shops while it lasted. Did my good deed for the day and helped a lady I know with her shopping, she uses a mobi scooter. It was the blind leading the blind, haha, and I could feel the eyes staring in the (short) queue behind us but one grumble or tut and it would have been Store Wars.:) They might need help one day.
Hope the dressing & meds do the trick shaney and you feel more comfortable...shame they couldn't have seen you sooner.
I haven't done a tree, same as last yr, I've thrown some chunky tinsel and lights around and put a few danglies on some squiggly twigs :) That'll do, it'll be less trouble to pack away.

Its been very foggy here and many flights have been delayed or diverted, and now the fog has descended yet again, so not holding out hope for new arrivals. Luckily am not expecting any guests this year!
