I have bought a rather nice writing slope on ebay, however the lock doesn't work at all. Its quite easy to remove though and in fact I suspect that its not the original one anyway. I've hunted around but the only supplier of replacements I could find is in america and the p and p is huge.

Does anyone know of a UK supplier of writing slope (wooden box) locks please? Either new or old but they must work and come with a key.

......and I did not understand one thing of Luther!!
Oooh I don't mind Burger King at all Neti .We often go in there when in town as we get a Bogoff on the back of our bus tickets.
I didn't get Luther either. The first part was good but they crammed too much into the second part for it to make any sense. Bit of a guessing game.
Did he murder that young lad ? All you saw was him in the mirror behind him and you saw him abduct his parents in their car .What happened to them ? Ridiculous.
Hope you're all ok .Bit wild and windy here ,but a nice sunny morning .
Home again, it was very nice but very quiet. Burger King was really nice, there's. A new pulled pork which was nice but Wat too much pork. Watched the late night Formentera ferry leave at 10pm then home. I like being home. Cat was waiting to come in. Just having a coffee and then bed.
well, it was nice and sunny today, not quite as mild as it has been but warm enough to go out and buy Pylones things for sisters.

ooo nice Jno...how big is that turkey Neti?????????? sounds huge! We got the shopping and cleaning finished today. I have got a haircut tomorrow but that’s all. I am doing a joint of pork and a turkey breast on christmas day. Sis’ s favourite is pork but the dogs can’t have it so I do a small bit of each, everybody is happy and there is plenty of cold for next day.
Nice things on ther Jno ..very quirky.
I'll say goodnight all as must be up early ,very early,to go to Morrisons for 6am when they open for the fruit and veg, salad and last few other bits. I can't hassle round when it's crowded.Hopefully the world and his wife don't have same idea and there isn't a stampede.
Sleep tight.
Good morning.
Gosh shaney 6am to go shopping that is early, only the bars are open here at that time.
Yes its a 3.45 kilo turkey, we usually end up with a 6 kilo one no matter what we ordered! We can't get turkey crowns here, just breasts which are flat things, most unexciting.
Overcast and a British day today again grey! I like it .
Mt N has gone to work, then golf and then we are out tonight.
Ive already started on the caviar, the mint toffees, and the Belgian crispy waffles. Quality Street went ages ago!
Cant believe how quiet Ibiza town was last night.
Hope Robi is feeling better, shaney's leg is healing, jno's teeth are behaving, woofy and sis and dogs are fine, and where the heck is our Jude?
I like that pylon site, love looking through quirky things. (Mind you I like looking at Argos catalogues too!)
Morning all
That's the way to do it. Went out in the dark ,got what I needed and home again shortly before seven .There were a few other hardy souls mooching about but it was nice and quiet ,they started to stream in as we left .
Just have nursie this afternoon for my leg. Bright and sunny here but very windy.
I rather liked these Pylones graters

http://www.pylones.com/en/tableware/162-gift-design-large-grater-nana.html

so I bought half a dozen as presents years ago. Huge mistake... they took all day to wrap, being the odd shape they are, and I've no idea how many reached their destination without being crushed. So now for mailing presents I just send calendars.
Uneventful day today. I bought a new pair of ankle boots, and another cheap comfy trackie type thing for comfort at home. We are.out thus evening but it's usually quite boring so I am dressing up just for the hell of it!
Gbf is having a strop as I haven't met him for ages. He has another friend who joins us, she interupts everything but is a very good friend to him. I can't stand the woman so I avoid them. Have no intentions of spending my last years on. this earth sitting with people I don't like. He's annoyed.
mild and grey here but I have just had a call from OH saying there was a small flurry of snowflakes in Oxford St and they seemed to be real, not someone with a blizzard machine. It all seems very unlikely but OH has better eyes than I do.
G'day...I'm down under in Perth and it's 35C!

haha, not really, I'm in dismal Derby, a rf of 3C. Actually it's bright now but the rain's been hammering down.
Well done shaney, get your sprouts on. I went yesterday afternoon with my sis to Sainsburys, it was busy but all tills were moving and we got what we wanted. People didn't seem to move much around here until lunchtime today and buses are passing by empty.

Love the website, too late for xmas but I'll order these for easter for you neti

http://www.pylones.com/en/outdoor/133-gift-design-clothes-pegs-pince-a-linge-hirondelle-avec-ventouse.html

Hang on, why the heck have they got suckers? Ventouse...isn't that what they use to pull babies out who are struggling to be born? Or do the French hang their bloomers on the outside of the window? And only eight for 16 euros?
cancels order

Try wrapping a semi pyramid of socks....yes, yes, very unimaginative I know but that was my instruction, warm socks for cold feet.I have included other items...lump of coal, a tangerine....:)

Jno, are you sure the 'snow' isn't poplar fluff? With these mild temperatures nothing would surprise me. They've got daffies blooming in some areas.

Neti...Jude called in to see me a couple of days ago, I did mention it, she's ok but busy as usual and sends her love.
well thanky kindly ma'am but the pegs have to be all the same colour and about 200 of them please.
Yes I know jude popped in but that was a couple of days ago, she could be absolutely anywhere by now, you know how she zooms about. Maybe you should put a tracker on her phone next time she pops round.
We managed to get sprouts yesterday, I think they are catching onto Xmas here now and getting the stuff we like. Can't buy sage here dried or natural anywhere so Mr N is going to concoct a sausage and chestnut stuffing. Yum love chestnuts and sausage. He cooks the whole lunch, I just (just huh!) wash up afterwards. Hate dirty plates etc hanging around.
Good Morning Friends. Thanks for missing me. I'm so sorry for not being on very much. I'm Ok now and getting back to my usual 'daft' self. Been seeing friends and family every day since last Wednesday. I've seen Steady and Steadier for 2 of those days. Had a brilliant time so the rest of Christmas for me is a bonus. I'm round my nieces tomorrow morning for a drink as it is my great niece's birthday then home for my dinner. Later off to another family for a getogether. I saw them last night and they invited me. Last night was Fuschia's daughter in law's 45th. Then rounding off on Boxing Day The Rams are at Home so guess where I'm going.
Now believe it or not I am going to read your posts, honestly, and my emails.
Have a brilliant Christmas and a peaceful 2016.
Thanks again for all your friendship and being there xx

I'm nearly normal just got the time of day wrong. Good afternoon I think!!!
Hi jude don't ever be normal or you won't fit in here.
ooh, nice to see you, jude, have a nice Christmas, and the same to everyone.

I did wonder about poplar fluff, Robinia, we get it out here in the far flung suburbs but I don't think they have many around Oxford St, it's mostly plane trees. It might have come from some posh garden square somewhere. I went to town myself and bought a Geox jacket at OH's urging (half-price in their sale) and that will be it for spending this year. Unless I decide to check out the Uniqlo sale. I like their clothes though 99% of them are made for skinny Japanese.
I've caught up now. That Pylones site looks good Jno. I love the pegs Neti. I have loads of plastic and wooden ones but not allowed to mix them up.
Hope your leg improves Shaney and doesn't stop you having a good time. Mum had an ulcer after a fall and I would dread to do the same.
Enjoy Christmas with your sister Woofy. I bet it's lovely where you live.
Thanks Robi for keeping me in touch with my friends. I think I'm almost back to normal (she says). See you again soon.
Just had sausages and mash. Lovely. It's great now and again.
I'm off to go on Skype now with The Reading Supporter. (TRS).
Wishing you all again a very happy Christmas. See ya later 'gaters x
I'm off to bed .I'm bushed .Got up too early .
Have a nice day tomorrow folks and love the ones you're with .
