James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

OH has been called in for a Cat scan tomorrow as the latest blood test showed some sort of liver problem, but nobody can figure out what it is.

Will this never end...
Ah,right, bump

oh dear.....mind you given the long period of starvation, I am not surprised that another organ is complaining......hopefully now that normalish nutrition has been resumed the complaints will stop.
They think the stent might be involved somehow. I think “derangement” was the comforting word they used. Anyway,, they’re going to have a look. At least whatever might happen hasn’t happened, but it’s just one damn thing after another.

It does sound like the care is excellent.
...... and expensive eh jno?
Good luck for tomorrow or it may well be today over there.
Gone cold and wet here again, but manged to get bedding washed and dried.
Off to mexico mañana to sort out ECG as am now convinced its a mistake!
Hija's employers in Dubai are giving her €4,000 when she leaves, maybe they have had enough of her too!
Take care everyone!
Yes, Neti, if OH had actually been taken ill overnight it would have been handled free as there’s some sort of deal in place regarding acute cases, but as we’re trying to stop it before it happens, we pay. Still, might as well use our life’s savings to save our lives.

Ooh, €4000, can you make a counter-offer?
Hello all
I'm sorry to hear about these ongoing problems Jno.I hope the scan etc goes well and that's it's nothing untoward. They seem on the ball though.
Another cold day but minus 4 degrees warmer than yesterday and the wind is still blowing hard .It's supposed to die down and get a bit better from tomorrow .
I went to the phixio this afternoon. They haven't actually fixed anything but he seems to think, having ruled other stuff out, that it's spinal stenosis. He had a good look and feel round my spine and back ,tested my reflexes and asked sensible questions. Back next Monday for an ongoing programme of treatment. What that will involve I'm not sure but will be tailored to my needs.I was in there for nearly an hour and he was very thorough. Nice man, very pleasant to talk to.
Hope you're all as well and warm as poss. Night all.
The scan has been put off for a day so maybe disaster isn’t imminent. The fact that OH feels fine may have played a part.

I have been totting up thebills and so far it comes to less than the cost of one of my teeth.

yes, apart from the car and the house, my implant is the most expensive thing I own....with no resale value.
Deep everlasting joy!! I have not ever had a heart attack. The machine printed silly words but the mexico goes by the graph and my heart is fine!!
Question Author
yay for Neti and Yay for OH feeling fine. The snow is thawing here but its still blooming cold. Don'r want to think about what my heating bill will be.
Thanks woofy and jno, you told me not to worry but I did.
Mind you its freezing here and there was a flurry of snow for about 5 mins, I of course was dressed for Spring seeing as it was lovely yesterday. Really mixed weather this year. Yes woofy Im a bit worried about leccy bill as im using the drier daily and have radiator in bedroom. But as Mr N says you have to be warm and comfy ( that's until he gets the bill!!)
Jno how is OH today? Much better I hope.
Question Author
yes I think the same as Mr N Neti. cannot tolerate being cold
Still improving, thank you, Neti, but we’ll be having the scan bright and early and praying it won’t show everything’s going wrong again. Congratulations on joining the non-heart attack club.
Hello all
Hope all goes well tomorrow Jno.
Glad you didn't have a heart attack Neti .
I won't bore you all any further with my ailments .
Keep well folks.Bye for now.

Shaney I hope the physio helps....a bit of warm weather wouldn't go amiss either. Hope Mr S is keeping well.
Shaney, it’s wonderful to have some laying on of hands from someone who knows what he’s doing. I’m sorry our osteo’s relationship broke down in California but at least it means he’s back in town to attend to our spines. Funnily enough, far away in tropical climes here, I went to see an osteopath who turns out to be a former flat mate of his.

It seems we have a stent blocking a bile duct here. They’re not going to do anything since it’s coming out in a week anyway, OH has just been given some antibios to stop any infection in its tracks.

Another nice hot day today, shame we’re not doing anything much with it. I hope UK temperatures are warming up again and the huskies have been put back in their kennels.
