Don't forget the 300 or so arrests made by the Met BEFORE the carnival. Guns, knives, hard drugs, you name it. I can't recall the police carrying out pre-emptive arrests before Glastonbury.

Just google something like... number of arrests before notting hill carnival.

Ive no idea ummmm, the two are completly different, why not compare it to Mardi Gras, or a weekend in Ibiza, the whole point is that it is made out to be a peaceful when there is lots of violent trouble.

showed it was er a field of cows

I suggested Glastonbury because it is where there is a large gathering of folk over several days and arrests are often reported.

Folk say there are a large number if crimes at the NHC but there are one to two million folk attending it.

The comparison is to establish whether the number of crimes is proportionately more than Glastonbury which does not attract the same criticisms.

so divide the NH figures by five and you will normalise against glastonbury for days and population

You have to register to get a ticket for Glasto providing all your info and a photograph. Doubt many crims would bother paying over £200 to do that.
