mikey...thank you again......at last a useful reply to my posts. You are correct.....why use the word "immigrants"...a good question, as i find it more difficult as time goes on to find a name for a group of people that doesn't upset anyone. I thought hard as to how one would describe, a no white community and that word seemed the least offensive. Oh! and...

/// Why on earth should anyone want to declare 'anything' about themselves merely to satisfy your whim? ///
How hypocritical, there are many on here who are forever trying to find out things about me, merely to satisfy their whims, ie my service in the RAF, my wartime experiences etc.
Your mind is a very strange place AOG. Linking being in the RAF with being proud to be a certain colour is wierd in the extreme.
I would have thought that 99.9% of people would be proud to be whatever colour they are. To not be would surely indicate the desire to be a different colour.
Now, lets have a bit of peace n quiet whilst I sunbathe.
The opposite of "proud" isn't necessarily "ashamed". There are things about myself I'm indifferent to, rather than necessarily obsessively proud or ashamed about. I'd suggest that skin colour is one of those things. Maybe I'm "lucky" to be white but not "proud" of it.
Perhaps the best way of putting it is that I'm proud, or ashamed, of those things about myself that I have some measure of control over.
aog, the heritage of white people across the globe is diverse, so you’re not really talking about heritage are you. You’re talking solely about your pride in the fact that you are white, and by extension, implying that those who aren’t are ashamed to admit that they aren't. Cut to the chase, aog. Just what are you talking about?
