I can understand homosexuality, I can understand trans-gender, but I simply cannot understand why heterosexual men indulge in cross-dressing. Any thoughts that may enlighten me will be welcome.
And to post as Retrocop and Sqad just have is ignorant and does nothing to address Naomi's question and Jim's answers....and there lies the real problem.
Prudie - //And this is exactly the problem, probably lots of others not so bold, including me, are not joining the thread because although we genuinely don't understand we are are cast out as being bigoted for admitting as such. //
Revelling in ignorance is not the same as being 'bold'.
If I see anyone castigating you, or anyone else, for admitting that you don't know enough to offer an informed opinion, I shall lead the charge in your defence.
Transvestites cause no harm, as far as I can see. Like Naomi, I don't understand why they do it, but there are a lot of things I don't understand and I guess I can't expect to understand everything in life, can I ?
Only if you don't know what he is like.
Cross-dressing is a harmless pursuit and fulfills some 'need' that the cross-dresser has....even though it may be difficult to articulate.
I find it more difficult to comprehend why so many straight/non-crossing men feel so threatened/discomfited by those who do.
I think that for some men when they fantasise about a certain female that they fancy & they think ''I would love to get into her knickers '' their only way is to wear them. LOL.
Hmmm, I wear my OHs jumpers & coats, even his denims need less alterations to fit me. His wellies slosh a bit but I can slip on his crocs to protect my toes being pecked by the rooster ;)
